For an Ontario first-year applicant, the admission baseline is the OSSD, six Grade 12 4U/M courses, ENG4U or the permitted French-school equivalent, and every program prerequisite. After an offer, enrolment depends on meeting the final average and diploma conditions printed in the offer, submitting final grades by the stated deadline, and accepting the correct program through OUAC. Queen's says Ontario students must achieve the OSSD and offer average by June 30 and any course-specific minimums by August 1; the individual offer and SOLUS record control.

Queen's requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma and six Grade 12 4U/M courses, including ENG4U and every prerequisite for the selected program. Francophone-school applicants may use EAE4U or FRA4U in place of ENG4U. Meeting the academic requirements or a prior-year competitive level does not guarantee admission.

For most Ontario programs, Queen's uses the required prerequisite courses plus the highest remaining Grade 12 4U/M grades needed to make six courses. Smith Engineering is the exception: its admission average is calculated from the five required courses—English, Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors, Chemistry, and Physics.

Queen's latest published minimums for admission consideration in the prior September cycle range from the low 80s for Arts and Science, through the mid 80s for Computing, Kinesiology, Life Science and general Engineering, to 90+ for Commerce and the low 90s for Nursing and Health Sciences. These are historical minimums, not Fall 2027 cut-offs, and can rise.

OUAC lists January 15, 2027 as the deadline for current Ontario high school applicants. Queen's has not yet published its complete Fall 2027 program, supplementary-application, document, and award calendar. Its live deadline page still lists the 2026 cycle, so applicants should not relabel the February 1, February 15, March 1, or March 31, 2026 dates as 2027 deadlines.

The current dedicated Queen's requirements list a Supplementary Application for Smith Commerce, the on-campus Bachelor of Health Sciences, and the four-year Bachelor of Nursing Science. The fully online Health Sciences program and Nursing Advanced Standing Track use different rules. Music and Concurrent Education/Music applicants complete an audition and interview instead.
