ROTP is a Canadian Armed Forces application. Non-ROTP undergraduate, UTPNCM, ILOY and graduate applicants use different forms, prerequisites, funding rules and military obligations. An academic minimum alone never establishes CAF selection or program allocation.

Degrees, language and allocation

RMC owns the degrees; applicant status controls access

Arts, Science, Engineering and Military Arts and Science do not share one admissions gate. ROTP students also need a program compatible with their CAF occupation, while civilian graduate admission remains academically and professionally distinct from commissioning.

Arts

BA and honours study includes Business Administration, Economics, English, French, History, Military and Strategic Studies, Political Science and Psychology.

Degree choice remains subject to applicant status, the current program-access table and, for ROTP, military-occupation compatibility.

Science

BSc and honours routes include Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics and Space Science.

Science admission requires the published senior mathematics and science preparation.

Engineering

BEng disciplines include Aeronautical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.

A qualifying academic record does not override CAF occupation/program allocation or capacity.

Military Arts and Science

BMASc, honours and certificate routes support eligible serving and non-ROTP learners through distinct access rules.

These routes are not evidence that every civilian applicant may enter the residential four-pillar cadet degrees.

Graduate study

Master's and doctoral study spans engineering, science, humanities, social sciences and defence-focused fields.

Civilian graduate admission is academically separate from ROTP commissioning and military training.

Bilingualism boundary

RMC offers degrees in English and French and develops applicable cadets toward a BBB Public Service Commission profile. The exact Second Official Language obligation belongs to the student's military and academic route; it is not automatically a graduate admission rule.

ROTP cadets begin military officer qualification before first year and complete further BMOQ training after the first academic year.
