Our Story
Stellar Advisers is an initiative of the Stellar Foundation, a Canadian charitable organization focused on empowering Caribbean youth through education and mentorship. Our platform was born from a simple realization: the most valuable advice doesn't come from consultants who've never walked in your shoes. It comes from peers who've recently navigated the exact same journey you're about to embark on.
As international students who made the leap from the Caribbean to Canada's top universities, we experienced firsthand the challenges, the confusion, and the overwhelming nature of the application process. We also discovered that the traditional consulting model was broken - expensive, impersonal, and often disconnected from the real student experience.
That's why we created something different. A platform where current students at UofT, McGill, Waterloo, UBC, and other top-tier institutions can share their recent, relevant experiences with aspiring students like you.

Romulus Deenah
Founder
A 20-year-old entrepreneur and student at Queen's University, Romulus founded the Stellar ecosystem to empower others following in his footsteps. As a former international student from the Caribbean, he understands the challenges of navigating Canadian university admissions. His own journey inspired him to create a peer-to-peer mentorship model that provides the authentic, relatable guidance he wished he had.
