Apply to the Psychological & Brain Sciences category
The 2027-28 university bulletin calls this UTM category Psychological & Brain Sciences and gives code TMP. The individual Psychology page still uses Psychology as its admission-category label. Keep the code and campus beside the name as you apply. This category can lead toward Psychology, Neuroscience or Exceptionality in Human Learning, but the later programs have different course and mark requirements.
Psychology at UTM is listed as an Honours Bachelor of Science path. It studies behaviour and mental processes using evidence and research methods. You can pursue different depths of study through a minor, major or specialist. These are university program choices, not three separate high school admissions you can secure merely by selecting TMP. Read the calendar before promising yourself a particular later program.
UTM allows one admission-category selection. Choose it from the subjects you actually hope to study. The University of Toronto hub gives the broader campus context, while this page concerns Mississauga Psychology. Don't use a Scarborough or St. George Psychology course rule to plan this file. The campuses share a university name but not every entry process or program requirement.

Keep Biology and Advanced Functions on your school record
The Ontario list is English ENG4U, Advanced Functions MHF4U and Biology SBI4U. You also need the school diploma and at least six Grade 12 U/M courses. U means university preparation and M means university/college preparation. The campus requires English at 70% and an overall average of at least 75%. Its Ontario average uses English plus the best five eligible senior courses.
The department states that Grade 12 Biology and Advanced Functions are never waived for entry to its Psychology programs. That matters even if you can take a Psychology course without them. The department says introductory PSY100Y5 itself has no maths or Biology prerequisite. Being able to enrol in that course therefore doesn't prove you have the school preparation required for a later Psychology major.
Chemistry is identified for Neuroscience, rather than required for the regular Psychology program on the checked department list. If Neuroscience is another serious option, keep its extra preparation in mind before choosing your timetable. Don't remove Biology or maths solely because Psychology involves reading and writing too. Ask about an equivalent if you study another curriculum, and retain the answer with your school course plan.

Read the published high-school average without a promise
The program page publishes Mid to High 70s as its Competitive Average. It doesn't assign the range to a particular entering class. We label it latest available, checked October 13, 2026. The campus's separate 75% overall floor is a general minimum. These are different labels and should stay on different lines in your comparison. Neither should become a guaranteed Fall 2027 admission cutoff.
UTM says admission depends on space and competition. It can also prefer marks from a single attempt at each course. The English floor and the required subjects remain part of the check. If you fall below a published condition, work out how to meet it rather than assuming a strong elective will erase it. If you meet the floor, you still need a complete file and a realistic shortlist.
Use the Top 6 calculator to review a planning average from your Ontario courses. Verify their levels and include English. The calculator doesn't decide UTM's assessment or predict an offer. Keep alternative Psychology programs with course requirements you can meet. Recheck the yearless competitive guidance on November 1, 2026, then use any new official figure with its own cycle label.

Meet the 2027 form and document checkpoints
The campus table confirms January 15, 2027 for the application and February 1 for documents. The early recommended application checkpoint is November 7, 2026. Apply through the normal OUAC Undergraduate route unless another university application category applies to your history. OUAC is the Ontario Universities' Application Centre. Once U of T receives the form, your Join U of T checklist identifies what to send.
No Psychology category supplement, interview, Casper test or portfolio is listed in the checked admission instructions. That does not make transcripts optional. Ontario school results are normally transmitted, while other studies may require an upload or direct result delivery. Check your personal list before sending extra documents. An English language test can be required even when the school transcript contains senior English.
Conditional offers can use the available junior and senior record. If a required senior mark is missing, UTM can look at the matching junior result. You must still complete the required subjects and the conditions of an eventual offer. Keep the Ontario university dates guide for other schools' deadlines, and don't assume a program with no essay has no follow-up task after applying.

Distinguish the major from the specialist
The current Psychology major can be requested after at least 4.0 completed university credits. Its first-year route needs PSY100Y5 at 64% or higher and a cumulative grade point average, or CGPA, of at least 2.0. Grade 12 Biology and Advanced Functions are still required. These are later program conditions. They are not an alternative to the 75% campus high school floor.
The specialist has a later stage. The current calendar lists 8.0 credits, the required PSY201H5 and PSY202H5 or equivalents, and further Psychology credits. It requires a minimum average of 77% across the specified set and a CGPA of at least 3.0. Read the complete course list and the rules for students applying later, because a single first-year Psychology result does not establish specialist eligibility.
Your high school offer is an admission-category offer. It shouldn't be described as a guaranteed Psychology specialist seat. The calendar rules are current references and can change before a Fall 2027 entrant reaches the later stage. Compare a major and specialist through the courses and depth of study you want. Recheck the calendar before choosing first-year courses and again before submitting a program request.

Map another school curriculum and English evidence
For Canadian applicants outside Ontario, UTM publishes subject equivalents and senior English at 70% or higher. Alberta uses five subjects at the 30/31 level; Math 30-1 and Biology 30 are the relevant equivalents here. British Columbia uses six Grade 12 academic subjects, with Pre-Calculus 12 and Anatomy & Physiology 12/Biology 12 in the list. Follow your own province's full diploma and accepted-subject rules.
International applicants need the accepted school credential and the program's senior subjects. The university's central page covers the full IB Diploma, British-patterned qualifications, CAPE and country-specific systems. It explains when predicted results can be used. UTM asks a school offering multiple curricula to identify the one you study. Don't guess a percentage conversion or assume a foreign course name proves that it is an accepted Biology equivalent.
Academic English and language proficiency are separate checks. U of T publishes test and exemption rules, and your portal identifies whether results are needed. An exemption does not remove a program's senior English requirement. Ask for clarification early if your school history crosses countries or curricula. That is more useful than preparing an optional statement while a required subject or test result remains missing from the file.

Read experiential opportunities by program name
The Psychological & Brain Sciences category page links to work and experiential opportunities. The co-op office's actual list is more specific. Its checked 2026-27 list doesn't name the regular Psychology major or specialist. It does include Forensic Psychology under the Institute of Forensic Sciences. Those are different programs. Don't call ordinary Psychology a guaranteed co-op degree from the broad category's promotional paragraph.
Forensic Psychology has its own academic preparation, later application and mark rules. The UTM Forensic Science guide explains that route. Regular Psychology can include research and advanced courses under its own calendar. A named research or work opportunity isn't a placement allocated to everyone. Ask which option applies to your intended program and at which stage you can request it.
The calendar includes methods, quantitative work and higher-level research options. Those are useful when deciding whether you want to study behaviour as a science. Compare the kinds of assignments and evidence involved, rather than treating the degree only as a future job title. If you hope to pursue graduate study, read the later course advice with the department. Don't infer admission to another degree from your undergraduate offer.

Budget and choose the next useful task
The approved 2026-27 Schedule 2 figures for general Arts & Science tuition are $6,220 Ontario, $7,610 other Canadian and $66,110 international. For new international entrants in 2027, the report's 2027-28 INFO column gives a planned $68,750. U of T calls that information only. Approved Fall 2027 domestic costs aren't confirmed in the checked report. Housing, incidental fees and books are separate budget items.
Use the U of T financial aid page for award and funding details. The residence owner covers housing. Don't count an award or work placement before it is confirmed. Keep the year and residency group on every tuition reference. A degree's study value and your ability to pay for it are both part of the choice.
Start with your school subject list: English, Advanced Functions and Biology. Then check the overall and English floors and select the correct UTM category. Set reminders for January 15 and February 1, 2027. Recheck missing fee approvals, the yearless range and future co-op availability on November 1, 2026. Read the later major and specialist conditions as current references, with another check before you actually request them.
