U of T Mississauga campus guide

U of T describes its Mississauga campus as a protected greenbelt setting along the Credit River. The campus tour introduces academic buildings, residences and student gathering places, giving you a way to connect the aerial view with the routes you would walk each day.

Include time outside the formal tour to find a study spot, look at food options and walk between the places you expect to use. If you are comparing Mississauga with downtown St. George, visit each separately rather than assuming they share the same daily routine.

UTM requires students living in residence to have a Student Meal Plan, regardless of housing style. It is a declining-balance plan with Basic and Flex dollars that can be used at campus food locations and participating off-campus partners. Students who do not live in residence can instead consider the separate Campus Value Plan dining loyalty program.

Use UTM's Food on Campus page to locate dining near your likely teaching, study and residence buildings and to check current operating hours. The page separates UTM Dining locations from branded outlets and other options such as food trucks, vending and UTMSU operations, so confirm the location and payment options you expect to use rather than treating every listing as one meal-plan service.

The Mississauga Bookstore is in the William G. Davis Building. The shared U of T course-material finder includes Mississauga: select the campus, term, department, course and section that match your timetable. It can show both physical and digital materials specified by the instructor, so check the exact section and format rather than relying only on a title from another class.

The bookstore warns that personalized course information can be incomplete while university records are being updated near the start of a semester. If a course is missing, use the manual lookup and check the live listing again as the term approaches. Check the store page for current location details and hours before an in-person visit.

UTM Accessibility Services is the campus route for disability-related academic accommodations. New students begin by reviewing the documentation requirements, registering through AIMS with their UTORid and submitting the requested information. Accessibility Services reviews the submission and contacts the student; registration and an appointment with an Accessibility Advisor are required before accommodations are arranged.

Registered students also use AIMS to register courses, request or confirm test and exam accommodations, and request note-taking services. This is an academic-accommodation process, separate from checking a building entrance or reporting a broken accessible door opener. Start early and use the current registration page because documentation and course-specific steps may apply.

Current U of T students use a UTORid to book UTM Library group-study rooms. The general policy allows one booking per day for no more than two hours and says a student may hold up to two sessions at a time. A room may be reassigned when the group arrives more than ten minutes late, and groups with fewer than four people may be asked to share. Food is not allowed in the rooms.

At the September 28, 2026 review, the current study-space page described rooms for groups of two to six, allowed two concurrent bookings and listed Room 8 as unavailable. It also announced a move to a new LibCal booking system on October 1. For September 29 and 30, the announcement restricts the old system to access through the U of T network, UTORvpn or UTM VPN. Use this stable study-space page for the current booking route and rules rather than assuming that transition information still applies later.

UTM's current membership table lists U of T student membership as included in incidental fees and lists a separate membership category for U of T students who are not registered during the summer. The drop-in sports page is more specific: it covers students enrolled in the current semester who have paid incidental fees. If you are not in that group, check the current membership category before relying on access.

Membership does not make every space a walk-in activity. UTM requires a TCard check-in for drop-in sports, updates its drop-in schedule daily, and lets you reserve squash, table-tennis and tennis courts in advance or at the welcome desk. A walk-up reservation depends on availability. Check the live schedule and the page for your activity before travelling because availability and registration requirements can change.

UTM's public-transit guide lists Mississauga bus connections and nearby GO stations, including Erindale and Clarkson. Use it as a starting point, then check the transit operator's current journey planner for your origin and travel time.

A university shuttle connects Mississauga and St. George, with a separate service to Sheridan's Trafalgar campus. Boarding rules differ for UTM students and other riders, and travel times depend on traffic. Check the timetable, stop and eligibility before treating the shuttle as part of your daily plan.

UTM offers student-led walking tours, virtual tours and a self-guided option. The tour information includes an option to see residence; check the current arrangements when booking and allow extra time if housing is part of your visit.

Use the official maps and directions before travelling. Bring a short list of questions about your academic area, where you would live or commute from, and the services you would use. The tour team asks visitors who need an accessibility accommodation to contact them in advance.

Look up your intended subject in U of T's program finder and confirm that its campus is Mississauga. Many U of T programs use an admission category before students select a program of study; the official listing identifies the category for each program.
