U of T St. George campus guide
St. George puts university life in downtown Toronto. Historic colleges, teaching buildings and recreation spaces sit among city streets. Start with the faculty you would study in, then explore the places you would use between classes.

Arts & Science students at St. George belong to one of seven colleges: Innis, New College, St. Michael's, Trinity, University College, Victoria or Woodsworth. U of T describes these communities as a home base within the larger campus.
That college system applies to the Faculty of Arts & Science; it is not a description of every St. George student's academic route. When visiting, ask what support and community activities your own faculty or college provides, including for students who commute.
Look inside the residences
A general campus walk will not tell you what a bedroom, shared bathroom or kitchen is like. U of T lists separate college and residence tours, including apartment-style Innis tours and options at other colleges and residences. Choose the buildings you are considering and check each tour's arrangements.
Use a residence visit to compare room sharing, meal arrangements, accessibility and the walk to your teaching buildings. Ask to see the room type you would actually be eligible for; a tour photograph or sample suite does not promise a particular assignment.

Gyms, fields and places to take a break
The St. George recreation options include the Athletic Centre, Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport, Hart House Fitness Centre, Varsity Centre and Arena, and outdoor spaces such as Back Campus Fields. They are different places, so put the facility you want to use on your visit route.
Before planning a workout or joining an activity, check the facility's current access rules, schedule and registration requirements. U of T notes that some activities require registration and payment. Choose a session that fits your interests and timetable.

Plan the journey to your building
Use the St. George campus page's transit, parking and directions links to plan your arrival. Start with a named building rather than a single pin for the whole university: your residence, faculty, library and gym may be in different parts of the campus.
Try the journey at the time you would normally arrive, and include the walk from your stop or parking space. If you expect to travel between St. George and Mississauga, check the UTM shuttle timetable and boarding rules separately; traffic can affect the trip.
Build a visit around your interests
St. George's undergraduate walking tours visit academic buildings, colleges and athletic facilities with a current student guide. The university also lists faculty-specific tours, including Engineering, Music and other areas, as well as college and residence visits.
Book the general tour for orientation, then add the faculty or residence visit that answers your remaining questions. Use the booking page for current meeting details and availability, and contact the tour team in advance if you need an accommodation.
Match the campus to your application
Check the official program listing for the faculty, campus and admission category attached to your intended subject. U of T considers program-area applications independently; liking St. George as a place to live does not establish the requirements for your chosen program.
Use the admissions guide for the application steps and the programs guide for the distinction between an admission category and a later program of study. Keep your campus visit notes alongside those academic requirements when comparing your choices.
