Student Life and Support

Current three-campus clubs, recreation, and support guide

University of Toronto student life across St. George, UTM, and UTSC

U of T is one university, but student routines are campus-specific. Compare the campus attached to the intended program, the communities a student would join, the correct support offices, recreation access, and the commute or housing plan. This guide was reviewed July 30, 2026 against the current university and campus sources linked below.

Three campus experiences

St. George, UTM, and UTSC have different student organizations, recreation facilities, health and accessibility offices, academic-support routes, and commuting patterns. U of T's quick facts count 103,140 students across the three campuses (Fall 2025–26), so compare the campus attached to the intended program, not only the U of T name.

Clubs and communities

U of T's current quick facts describe more than 1,800 clubs, organizations, and activities across all three campuses. That is a tri-campus total, not one directory. Recognition and activity change, so confirm the exact group in the relevant campus portal.

Recreation

St. George students commonly use Sport & Rec facilities and Hart House; UTM uses the Recreation, Athletics & Wellness Centre; and registered UTSC students have access to the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre. Programs, bookings, eligibility, and extra fees vary.

Student support

Academic advising, learning support, disability-related accommodations, health care, counselling, and international advising use different offices—and often different campus-specific intake systems. Save the correct routes before a deadline or urgent need.

Compare the campus attached to the program

A program decision determines more than the course list. It also shapes the student's daily community, facilities, support intake, commute, and ability to attend activities.

St. George: colleges, clubs, Hart House, and Sport & Rec

St. George students can connect through a college or faculty, academic and departmental groups, recognized clubs, cultural and faith communities, service, arts, recreation, and residence or commuter programming. Arts & Science applicants should compare the college system as part of campus fit because a college can be a home base for advising, community, events, and residence.

Hart House and U of T Sport & Rec offer different spaces and programs. Student status does not make every class, club, booking, equipment rental, or special program free. Verify the current membership, registration, facility, schedule, accessibility, and additional fee.

U of T Mississauga

OrgLife, the Centre for Student Engagement, RAWC, and the shuttle

Use UTM's live student-group directory and Centre for Student Engagement for groups, mentorship, volunteering, orientation, and co-curricular opportunities. The Recreation, Athletics & Wellness Centre supports activity on campus, while UTM's academic-skills, accessibility, and health services use local intake routes.

The UTM shuttle is scheduled transportation, not an instant connection to downtown. Check the current timetable, eligibility, fare, boarding, accessibility, and capacity rules before building it into classes, work, appointments, or activities.

U of T Scarborough

Student Life Programs, first-year connection, and TPASC

UTSC Student Life Programs reports more than 300 recognized student groups and supports campus groups, orientation, and first-year programs. Academic advising, AccessAbility, health and wellness, and international support are also campus-specific.

Registered UTSC students have access to the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre under current rules. Fitness, aquatics, climbing, drop-in activity, intramurals, and student-specific programs can have different account, booking, eligibility, and fee requirements.

Which U of T support service should a student contact?

Start with the need and the home campus. Peer programs and student organizations can help students navigate, but official academic, accommodation, health, and immigration decisions belong with the authorized office.

Build a weekly routine before choosing by reputation

Start with a sample week: program and campus, housing or commute, class and lab locations, one program-linked community, one social or recreation activity, food, study space, paid work, support appointments, and a safe trip home. A prestigious option can still be a weak personal fit if the routine is unaffordable or unsustainable.

Compare that routine with the U of T programs guide, residence comparison, and international credential guide.
