York generally requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma and six Grade 12 4U or 4M courses, including ENG4U and every prerequisite for the chosen program. Some prerequisites have their own minimum grade. Meeting the published minimum or range does not guarantee admission, and Schulich, AMPD, Education, Social Work, and certain other routes can require supplementary material.

York has no single admission average. Its current Ontario guidance ranges from the low-to-mid 70s for many Arts and Science routes to the low 90s for Schulich BBA and the high 80s for Direct-Entry Nursing. Engineering is currently in the mid-80s and Computer Science in the low 80s. These are current planning ranges, not guaranteed Fall 2027 cut-offs.

Current Ontario high-school students are in OUAC Group A, whose Fall 2027 application deadline is January 15, 2027. York has not yet published its complete Fall 2027 guaranteed-consideration table for other applicant groups or its 2027 program-supplement deadlines. Do not reuse York's January 15, February 3, or other dates labelled for Fall 2026 without checking the live deadline page.

York's current Ontario guidance requires ENG4U and MHF4U at 70% or higher, MCV4U or MDM4U, and three additional 4U/M courses with no more than two 4M courses. It lists a low-90s admission range and an 88% final offer condition. A leadership profile, video interview, and timed writing exercise are mandatory; the published February 3 date belongs to the 2026 cycle, not Fall 2027.

Current first-year Engineering requires ENG4U, MHF4U, MCV4U, SCH4U, SPH4U, and one additional 4U/M course, with a mid-80s planning range. Computer Science requires ENG4U, MHF4U, another 4U mathematics course, and additional courses that differ for the BA and BSc; the current planning range is the low 80s. York says minimums do not guarantee admission.

York says undergraduate applications are typically assessed within six weeks once the admissions team has received all required documents. That is not a guaranteed offer date: timing varies by program, applicant type, missing material, supplementary review, and capacity. Applicants should monitor MyFile and official email.
