Fall 2027 admissions planning
York University admission requirements and current averages
Ontario high-school applicants generally need an OSSD (your Ontario high school diploma). They also need six Grade 12 4U or 4M courses (Grade 12 university (U) or university/college (M) preparation courses). The six courses must include ENG4U. They must also include every prerequisite for the selected program. York has published current program requirements and Fall 2026 ranges. Its complete Fall 2027 program and supplementary-deadline tables are not yet available.

Cycle-label warning
Current York ranges are planning evidence, not Fall 2027 guarantees
York's live selector currently publishes program averages for the present cycle. It also publishes prerequisites and offer-maintenance conditions. Competition and capacity can raise the actual admission level. The current February 3 Schulich and AMPD supplement deadline belongs to Fall 2026. It must not be relabelled as 2027.

The table uses York's current admission selector. “Current range” describes York's published planning guidance, while “offer condition” describes the final average currently needed to keep an offer. Neither is a guaranteed Fall 2027 cut-off.

Decision timing after a complete file
Official-source conflict · Current guidance (pages re-read October 8, 2026)
York's two decision-timing pages disagree. The I've applied page says undergraduate applications are generally assessed within four weeks of receipt of required documentation, and that for Ontario high school applicants York begins making decisions, including early offers, in December and continues through the end of June. The admissions FAQ, which still shows Fall 2026 deadlines, says applications are typically assessed within six weeks once all required documents are received. Confirm timing with York and watch MyFile.
The six-week figure is the separate decision-timing-faq claim, sourced to the admissions FAQ.

Decision timing in York's admissions FAQ
Official-source conflict · Fall 2026 page, still live (re-read October 8, 2026)
York's admissions FAQ says undergraduate applications are typically assessed within six weeks once all required documents are received by the admissions team. The same FAQ still lists Fall 2026 application deadlines, and it conflicts with the four-week figure on York's I've applied page. Confirm with York.
