Schulich BBA 2027: Requirements & Supplement Guide

The Schulich BBA is a four-year, 120-credit direct-entry honours business degree at York University. Ontario applicants are assessed using academic performance and a mandatory supplementary application with a Leadership Profile, Kira video work, and timed writing. For Fall 2027, the regular OUAC deadline is January 15 and the supplement is due February 1 with a $50 fee. Search wording such as ‘Schulich schools’ is not the official program name. This guide owns that intent without creating a misleading alternate page.

Leadership Profile

Upload the current Fall 2027 form before proceeding to timed work; use the live form for exact activity and reference fields.

Video responses

Complete the Kira video portion after the Leadership Profile; the current public page does not settle an exact question count.

Timed writing

Complete the timed writing exercise in the Kira sequence and follow the live instructions rather than prior-cycle examples.

Fall 2027 application fee and cost boundary

The supplementary application costs $50 and is non-refundable. York had not published a stable Fall 2027 BBA tuition table at review, so archived 2023–24 per-credit figures must not be presented as current.

Eleven current specialization areas

Beginning in Year 3, students may choose up to two areas. Availability is subject to demand and the Academic Handbook for the cohort.

Use the official program identity

The phrase ‘Schulich schools’ appears in search demand, but the applicant task is the Schulich Bachelor of Business Administration. Schulich is a school within York University, and the BBA is one specific undergraduate degree. It should not be combined with Schulich graduate programs or York's separate Commerce BCom.

Confirm the OUAC program, York campus, degree, and entry year. A different York business route can have different prerequisites, co-op rules, curriculum, tuition, and transfer options. This canonical remains `/pathways/schulich-bba` because that is the accurate owner.

Understand the direct-entry boundary

Schulich describes the BBA as primarily a direct-entry high-school program. The current admissions page says external university transfer and mature applicants are not accepted into the route. York delayed-entry applicants have a separate process and deadline.

Do not describe the offer as a first-year category followed by a competitive Schulich progression gate. Admitted direct-entry students begin the named BBA and then follow its academic standing and degree requirements.

Audit Ontario prerequisites and planning range

Ontario applicants need ENG4U and MHF4U at 70% or higher, MCV4U or MDM4U, and three additional eligible 4U/M courses. Use the live Fall 2027 page for the complete top-six and course-category rules.

Schulich recommends the high 80s to low 90s and says past minimum cutoffs ranged from 91.5%–92%. A historical minimum is not a fixed current cutoff. The mandatory supplement remains a separate assessment input, and the current page does not publish a numerical weighting.

Track early and regular 2027 dates

For early consideration, Schulich lists November 6, 2026 for the OUAC application and November 23 for the supplement. The regular OUAC deadline is January 15, 2027. The regular supplement deadline is February 1 at 11:59 p.m. EST.

Applicants need a York student number to access the supplement, and York says account setup can take seven to ten business days. Apply early enough to receive the invitation, test access, complete the form, resolve technical problems, and confirm that MyFile records the submission.

Complete the Leadership Profile accurately

The Fall 2027 Leadership Profile is scheduled to become available in September 2026. It is uploaded before the video and timed-writing portions. Use the current form itself for the exact number of activities, fields, references, and response limits.

Choose experiences that make decisions and contribution visible across work, care, service, teams, projects, entrepreneurship, clubs, arts, or sport. Verify role, dates, hours, and outcomes. A title without action and reflection is not strong evidence.

Prepare for video and timed writing

The supplement includes Kira video responses and a timed writing exercise. The public page does not settle an exact current video-question count, so old tutorials must not control preparation. Follow the live invitation and practice environment.

Practice answering the assigned task directly, selecting one relevant example, and explaining action, impact, and learning. Test the device, browser, camera, microphone, connection, lighting, and quiet room. Contact Schulich before starting if an accommodation is needed.

Pay and confirm the Fall 2027 supplement

Starting with the Fall 2027 cycle, Schulich charges a $50 non-refundable supplementary fee. This sits outside the OUAC fee. Complete payment only through the official workflow and save the receipt and final confirmation.

Schulich says MyFile can take seven to ten days to show a received submission and pauses updates during the named holiday closure. A delayed status is not permission to resubmit blindly. Follow the official escalation instructions and preserve evidence of timely submission.

Plan the 120-credit curriculum

The honours BBA requires 120 credits and combines core business study, Schulich electives, and non-Schulich electives. Years 1 and 2 build the common foundation. Students entering Year 3 can optionally select up to two specialization areas.

The current page lists eleven specializations, but availability is subject to demand. Compare prerequisite chains, elective capacity, professional-designation alignment, exchange timing, and academic standing. Use the Academic Handbook issued for the student's cohort.

Budget without a fabricated Fall 2027 fee

York's public fee lookup did not expose a stable Fall 2027 Schulich BBA amount when this guide was reviewed. An archived 2023–24 page is useful only as evidence that tuition and supplementary fees are assessed per credit. It is not a current estimate.

Build a provisional range from the latest official year and replace it when York publishes the new schedule. Include 30-credit course load, supplementary fees, housing, food, transit, books, insurance, travel, and personal costs. The student's financial account is the final invoice.

Treat internships as competitive opportunities

Schulich's career centre supports BBA internship and full-time recruiting. It says most internships are four months and tend to occur from May to August, while longer or off-cycle roles require additional academic planning. This is not the same structure as a direct-entry co-op degree.

Students apply to employers and must meet role requirements. A school page, employer logo, historical compensation number, or career-service account does not secure an internship. Compare this model with the alternatives in the Canadian business-program guide.
