Course requirements
Your top six Grade 12 courses must include English (ENG4U), Advanced Functions (MHF4U), and either Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U) or Mathematics of Data Management (MDM4U). You need at least 70% in ENG4U and MHF4U.
Schulich counts no more than two 4M courses. Students from outside Ontario follow York's rules for their school system. Plan your courses with our course planner.

Past cutoffs: 91.5% or 91%
Schulich says Ontario students should aim for a Grade 12 average from the high 80s to low 90s. Its requirements page says the minimum cutoff in past years has been between 91.5% and 92%. Schulich's admissions FAQ gives it as 91 to 92% instead. Confirm the current figure with Schulich. Meeting it doesn't guarantee admission.
Schulich's requirements page says it gets thousands of applications for an incoming class of about 500 students. Its FAQ says it admits about 800 to 900 students a year. The first number is the class that starts, and the second is offers made, so they measure different things. York doesn't publish a BBA acceptance rate. The supplementary application
The supplement is a required part of the BBA application. After you apply on OUAC (code YBA), you get an email invite from Kira Talent once it opens. The requirements page says it opens in November 2026, while Schulich's FAQ says October 15, 2026, so confirm with Schulich. You'll need your York Student ID Number. The supplement page says York emails it 7 to 10 business days after you apply, while Schulich's FAQ says 3 to 5 business days.
First you upload a Leadership Profile using Schulich's template. Then you do video interviews and a timed writing exercise. You can't replace the Leadership Profile after you move on, so finish it first. From the Fall 2027 cycle there is a $50 fee.
Schulich says it looks for leadership potential, integrity, resourcefulness, resilience and teamwork.

Who can apply
The BBA is mainly a direct-entry program from high school. Schulich doesn't consider external transfer or mature students.
Some current York students who came straight from high school may apply to enter Year 2 through Delayed Entry. Schulich says only 0 to 8 students get in this way each year.
Delayed Entry is only for students in their first year at York. The deadline for Fall 2027 is March 3, 2027. All prerequisite courses must be taken at York. Conditional offers go out in early April. You must then pass two introductory financial accounting courses in the Summer term.

How Schulich weighs your application
Schulich gives your grades and your supplement equal weight. Its FAQ says strong grades will not make up for a weak supplement, and a strong supplement will not make up for weak grades. You need solid results in both.
When you apply, you may not have Grade 12 marks yet. Schulich looks at the Grade 12 courses you have finished first. If marks for a required course are not ready, it uses the Grade 11 (3U) course until the 4U mark arrives. It can also review your whole academic history.
Grades from night school, summer school, private school and online courses are treated the same. Private school courses must be accredited by the Ontario Ministry of Education. You can repeat a course, but Schulich may consider that as part of its review.
Grade deadlines and summer school
Your school must send midterm grades for courses in progress by April 15. Final grades are due by July 1. Courses not finished by July 1 are not considered.
You cannot take a required course or raise a mark in the summer before you start at Schulich. Summer school only counts if you take it between Grade 11 and Grade 12. Online courses through OVS or ILC follow the same Ontario timelines.
Schulich can cancel an offer if your final average falls below its cutoff, a required course is missing, or a required mark is low. If this happens, Schulich asks you to contact its admissions office.
When offers arrive
Schulich starts reviewing files after the supplement deadline. Early Consideration applicants may get offers between December 2026 and January 2027. Regular offers go out from March to the end of May 2027. You can check your status in York's MyFile account.
If you apply early and do not get an early offer, you are still considered in the regular cycle. Schulich's FAQ says it admits about 800 to 900 students a year. That counts offers, not the incoming class of about 500.
The BBA starts only in September. There is no January or May start, and you cannot defer from Fall to Winter. You may not get an automatic offer to another York program, so Schulich suggests you apply to more than one program.
Your first year at Schulich
You take business courses from your first term. For students who started in Fall 2026, Year 1 included Microeconomics for Managers, Macroeconomics for Managers, Introduction to Business, two financial accounting courses, Global Business, Managing Data for Business Decisions and Marketing Management. You also take 6 credits of electives outside Schulich.
To graduate you need 120 credits with a cumulative GPA of at least 5.00. A GPA of 7.50 or higher earns the degree with distinction. Classes in Years 1 and 2 can be large. They get smaller in Years 3 and 4 as you specialize.

Exchange abroad
Schulich offers exchange with 66 business schools in 32 countries. Between 150 and 200 Schulich students go on exchange each year.
You can go in the Winter term of Year 3, or the Fall or Winter term of Year 4.
English tests and out-of-province students
If you need to prove English skills, Schulich lists IELTS 7.0, PTE Academic 67, Duolingo 130, and TOEFL iBT 94 (or 5 for tests on or after January 21, 2026). Four years of high school study in Canada in English or French is one example of a waiver.
Students from other provinces and countries use the requirements on York's Future Students site for their curriculum.

Scholarships
You must apply to York before you can apply for its scholarships, but you don't need an offer first. York suggests applying early so you are considered for the most awards.
York's Schulich Leader Scholarship is for science, technology, maths and engineering programs, so it is not a BBA award. International students can apply for the President's International Scholarship of Excellence, worth $180,000 over four years. The student deadline is January 27, 2027.

What you study
The four-year Honours BBA covers accounting, marketing, finance, organizational behaviour and strategy. In Year 3 you can choose up to two of eleven specializations, such as Accounting, Business Analytics, Finance, Global Business and Marketing.
Schulich lists 66 international partner schools for a term abroad. The BBA can also include the prerequisite courses for the CPA path.

Co-op and internships
Schulich's BBA page doesn't describe a co-op stream. Its Centre for Career Design gives BBA students access to job postings for summer internships and full-time roles, plus workshops and recruiter events.
Schulich reports that 88% of BBA students were hired within nine months of graduating, with $77,000 average total pay.

Tuition
York's 2026-27 estimate for business programs is about $8,000 to $11,000 a year for domestic students and $40,000 to $44,000 for international students. York says domestic fees rose 2% from 2025-26.
These are estimates for a full course load. Exact fees are on York's course and program fees page. See our York acceptance rate page for what York publishes about admission.

For parents
Schulich is one of the most selective business programs in Ontario, with past cutoffs of 91% or higher. Two maths are required, so check your child's Grade 12 plan early.
The supplement has several parts and a set order. Starting the Leadership Profile early helps.
