Course requirements
TMU asks Ontario students for an OSSD (the Ontario Secondary School Diploma) with six Grade 12 U or M courses and an overall average of at least 70%. You also need two Grade 12 U courses at 70% or more: English (ENG4U or EAE4U preferred) and one math from Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U), Advanced Functions (MHF4U) or Mathematics of Data Management (MDM4U).
Any of the three maths works, but TMU says MCV4U is its preferred math course. Plan your courses with our course planner.
TMU's general rules also apply. Your overall average uses your best six Grade 12 U or M courses, which can include repeated or upgraded marks, and averages aren't rounded. The out-of-school part of a Grade 12 co-op course doesn't count. Grade 11 marks may be used for early offers, but offers then set the Grade 12 results you must reach, and requirements must be finished by June 30.

The 70-75% grade range

Business Management is grades-only, so there's no essay, interview or supplement. TMU doesn't publish a program acceptance rate; our TMU acceptance rate page explains what it does publish. Work out your average with our Top 6 average calculator.

How to apply and when you'll hear
February 1, 2027 is TMU's guaranteed consideration date for Fall 2027 applications to all programs. OUAC's own deadline is in January, but TMU keeps accepting applications for equal consideration until February 1, and many programs stay open after that if spaces remain. Pick the format you want: the four-year program or the five-year co-op.
Decisions come on a rolling basis, and for grades-only programs most are released between February and the end of May. If you applied by February 1 and are waitlisted, TMU will tell you by late May.

Where the majors lead
TMU lists sample careers for each major. Economics and Management Science points to roles such as data scientist, economist and investment analyst. Entrepreneurship and Innovation, which TMU says has more undergraduate entrepreneurship courses than any other English-language university in Canada, points to founding a business or work as a consultant or analyst.
Health Services Management leads to roles like health informatics analyst and health-care manager, with employers such as Sunnybrook and University Health Network. Human Resources Management offers concentrations in Industrial Relations and Organizational Behaviour. Law and Business covers corporate legal issues for roles like compliance officer. Marketing Management leads to brand and digital marketing roles, and Real Estate Management to work as an appraiser, mortgage officer or real estate analyst.
Every major lists an MBA or a Master of Science in Management as possible further study. Student groups, networking events and case competitions add practice outside class.

Co-op
The full-time program comes as a four-year degree or a five-year co-op. TMU calls it Canada's largest business co-op program, with over 3,300 students, and says students earn an average of $55,000 across their co-op terms.
Co-op isn't open to part-time students, or to full-time Direct Entry students in the Economics and Management Science or Entrepreneurship and Innovation majors.

Direct Entry from college and part-time study
If you finish a TMU-approved three-year Advanced Diploma in Business Administration at a public Ontario college, you can apply for Direct Entry to third year. TMU encourages a GPA of 3.00 or higher, and you may need to complete up to six second-year courses. Direct Entry majors are Economics and Management Science, Global Management, Human Resources Management, Law and Business, Marketing Management and Real Estate Management.
There's also a part-time degree with up to three courses a term. It needs the same English and math courses or TMU's mature student rules, plus a Business Management certificate or seven courses through The Chang School of Continuing Education.

For parents
Business Management's range is 70-75%, and admission is grades only. English and a Grade 12 U math at 70% are the courses that matter most.
Co-op adds a year but also paid work experience. If your child is aiming for a higher-average business school too, pair this with a reach option and talk it through with an adviser.
