Why those counts don't make an acceptance rate

An acceptance rate is offers divided by applicants, for the same group and year. uOttawa's table doesn't fit that formula. Applications aren't people: one student can apply to several uOttawa programs. And enrolments count students who arrived, not everyone who got an offer.

uOttawa's latest Common University Data Ontario (CUDO) admissions page, for 2022, lists application fees and term options but no applicant or offer counts. So we don't publish a uOttawa acceptance percentage. Enrolments divided by applications would describe who came, not who was admitted.

The average that got students in

The quick-facts academic profile is the most useful planning figure. It covers students who entered uOttawa directly from an Ontario high school, using OUAC data.
