Course requirements

Ontario students need ENG4U and one Grade 12 math: Advanced Functions (MHF4U), Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U) or Mathematics of Data Management (MDM4U). The math mark must be at least 70%.

Any of the three maths works, so pick the one you will do best in. If you might want the Business and Computer Science or Business and Mathematics combined degrees, take Advanced Functions too. Check your plan with our course planner.

The average you need

The minimum is a 73% average of your top six Grade 12 U or M courses. The co-op option needs 78%. Windsor's own pages give different mean averages for admitted students. The program page says 84.7%. The business overview page says 82%. Windsor's Fall 2025 admission average report shows 83.5% for all new Odette students from Ontario high schools. Confirm with Windsor which figure is current.

In Fall 2025, about 70% of new Odette students had averages under 85%, and 4.5% came in between 70% and 75%. So a mid 70s average can still work for the regular stream. Windsor does not publish an acceptance rate. Work out your number with our Top 6 average calculator.

Supplementary application

Windsor's business pages list no supplementary application, essay or interview for students applying from high school. Your grades decide your file.

Dates for Fall 2027

Windsor's deadline page has not been updated. It still lists January 15, 2024 as the OUAC date for Ontario high school students and July 1 as the overall fall date. It says late applications may be considered if the program has space.

Plan to apply on OUAC by mid-January 2027 and confirm the date with Windsor. See our Ontario deadlines page.

First year and specializations

First-year courses include Introduction to Business, Business Communications, Principles of Marketing, Human Resources Management, Principles of Financial Accounting, Management and Organizational Life, and Introduction to Management Information Systems.

You later choose from five specializations: Accounting, Business Analytics and Supply Chain Management, Finance, Human Resources, and Marketing. Students also run a $260,000 student investment fund, and Windsor reports a 1:17 faculty to student ratio.

Combined degrees

Odette offers double majors with other subjects. Windsor lists Business Administration with Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Political Science, Psychology, and Women's and Gender Studies.

Co-op is optional for most of these programs but required for Business and Computer Science. Check the course rules for each combined program before you apply, since a math choice can matter.

Co-op

Co-op is optional for most BComm students. Windsor's program page gives a 78% minimum average for co-op at admission. Its overview page says students apply to co-op in the fall of second year. Windsor's experiential learning page says students can apply right out of high school or after first year. Ask Windsor how these rules work together for your year.

Placements can be local, national or international. Students describe co-op terms at Big 4 accounting firms and the Windsor Detroit Bridge Authority. For May 2026 to April 2027 the co-op fee is $485 a term for eight terms for domestic students, and $601 a term for international students.

Tuition for 2026-27

Windsor posts tuition through a fee estimator, not a printed table. It shows the approved fees for the 2026-2027 academic year, per term. You choose Undergraduate, Business, full time and your fee category to see the amount.

If you join co-op, add the co-op fee of $485 a term over eight terms. That is $3,880 in total for domestic students at the 2026-2027 rate, which is our math from Windsor's figures.

Entrance scholarships

For 2027-2028 entry, Windsor guarantees a minimum scholarship to Canadian students entering straight from high school. An 85% to 89.99% average earns $1,000. A 90% to 94.99% average earns $10,000 over 8 terms. A 95% or higher average earns $16,000 over 8 terms.

The renewable awards need an 85% scholarship average and full-time study each year. In Fall 2025, about 37% of new Odette students came in with 85% or more. Windsor also says Odette awards $1.6 million in scholarships each year.

Exchange and other hands-on options

Windsor's co-op office works with more than 250 companies in Ontario, across Canada and abroad. Co-op students also go through a job readiness program before their first work term.

If co-op is not for you, there are other options. Windsor lists internships, exchanges with more than 60 universities in 24 countries, community service learning and support for student businesses through the EPICentre. Odette students who want to start a company often use the EPICentre alongside their courses.

Residence

Windsor lists 2026-2027 residence fees from $9,000 for a Laurier Hall single to $11,768 for a Rodzik Hall single for fall and winter. A meal plan is mandatory and costs extra. Windsor notes these fees were not yet approved by its Board of Governors, so they may change.

Fall residence fees are due August 15, 2026 and winter fees December 15, 2026 for current students. The fee estimator can add residence and a meal plan to your tuition so you get one budget number.

For parents

Odette is a realistic choice for a student in the high 70s, and a scholarship chance for a student above 85%. If co-op matters, help your child aim for at least 78%.
