Every live University of Windsor undergraduate page reviewed for this guide is labelled Fall 2026, Winter 2027, or Spring 2026. The registrar's sessional listing carries a Fall 2026 header with September 10, 2026 as the first day of Fall 2026 classes, and the next-steps page names Fall 2026, Spring 2026, and Winter 2027. Windsor is running the Fall 2026 intake, not a Fall 2027 one.

Windsor has not published a Fall 2027 undergraduate cycle. No first-party page reviewed states a Fall 2027 application opening date, an OUAC deadline, a document deadline, an offer-release date, or an early-acceptance date. Windsor does not publish offer-release dates for any cycle; its own next-steps page says only to meet the conditions and accept by the date indicated on your Offer of Admission letter.

January 15 is OUAC's recurring Group A deadline for Ontario high-school applicants, so treat mid-January 2027 as the working planning date and confirm on OUAC and Windsor's own pages once the Fall 2027 cycle is posted. Do not treat any date on Windsor's deadlines answer page as a Fall 2027 date.

The ask.UWindsor answer titled What are the deadlines to apply for an undergraduate program? was last updated January 5, 2024 and still publishes January 15, 2024 as the OUAC deadline for Ontario high-school applicants and February 1 (For Fall 2024) for Year 1 of Consecutive Education. The registrar's sessional listing and the next-steps page, meanwhile, are labelled Fall 2026 and Winter 2027. An applicant who reads the deadline page in good faith receives 2024 dates.

The recurring program-specific pattern on that page is still useful — November 1 Law JD, March 1 Nursing Year 1, March 15 Social Work Year 3, April 15 Dual JD — but every year label on it is wrong. Confirm each date with the program before relying on it.

Windsor is an Ontario university and takes domestic undergraduate applications through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre. Its own Ontario high-school page gives a three-step process: apply through the OUAC website, activate your UWin Account and complete your To Do List in UWinsite Student, then follow the Next Steps after your Offer of Admission arrives. International applicants get three routes instead — a direct application to UWindsor, OUAC, or an authorized educational agent.

The direct international application matters: an overseas applicant who is only applying to Windsor does not have to go through OUAC at all.

Windsor's live application pages say only apply through the OUAC and never name the form number. The one first-party document that does is the Registrarial Service Fees schedule, which lists Ontario Secondary School (base fee) — (101) Base Fee (for 3 choices) + $50 per choice after 3, and Canadian applicants not currently attending an Ontario High School (105) — Base fee (for 3 choices) + $50 per choice after 3 + $10. Current Ontario high-school students use 101; everyone else in Canada uses 105.

That schedule is titled 2022-23 – 2023-2024 and stamped Updated: 2023-06-22, yet Windsor's part-time application page still calls it the current fee. The 101/105 split is a stable OUAC structure; the dollar amounts on that document are three cycles old.

Windsor does not publish an OUAC application fee amount. Its own fee schedule records the OUAC base fees only as as per OUAC, and adds Windsor-charged items instead: evaluation of documents, the undergraduate part-time studies application, the international contract application, and the Faculty of Education evaluation fee. Get the current OUAC 101 and 105 base fees from OUAC directly when the Fall 2027 cycle opens.

There is no universal Windsor supplementary admission fee for direct-entry undergraduates on the pages reviewed. The Windsor-charged items are document-evaluation, part-time, international-contract, and Education-evaluation fees, and the schedule that lists them is three cycles old.

Windsor does not publish a list of OUAC program codes. The program admission requirements search hub shows no codes, and the only OUAC code found anywhere on uwindsor.ca is NFS (105 application) for the Applied Forensic Science Stream degree-completion pathway — on a document stamped Taking Students for Fall 2020. Pull Windsor's institution letter and program codes from the OUAC Undergrad Guide for the Fall 2027 cycle.

Windsor does publish testing-agency codes: SAT score code 0904 and ACT score code 7053, both in the Senate admission policy.

No first-party Windsor page publishes an undergraduate acceptance percentage. What Windsor does publish is better than a rate: actual admission averages by faculty each year from the Office of Institutional Analysis, and first-choice applicant and registrant counts in its Common University Data Ontario report. Windsor never divides one by the other, and neither should you.

Any Windsor acceptance rate you find is third-party modelling. Plan against the published program minimum, the published faculty admission average, and the Senate policy line that meeting the minimum only guarantees your application will be considered.

The Senate Policy on Admission Requirements states it plainly: Possession of the minimum requirements guarantees only that the application will be considered. It also warns that the 70% baseline average may be higher, depending on the number of applicants.

Windsor's audited Common University Data Ontario return reports 17,839 students in Fall 2023 — 16,296 full-time and 1,543 part-time — split into 11,913 bachelor's and first-professional, 5,461 master's, and 465 doctoral. Student visa holders numbered 5,166, of whom only 730 were undergraduates. Windsor publishes 190 undergraduate programs, 70 graduate programs, and a 29:1 student-to-faculty ratio.

The international share is overwhelmingly graduate. If you are an international undergraduate applicant, the 5,166 figure is not your cohort — 730 is.

The About page says about 18,000 students. The Why UWindsor page says nearly 15,000 students enrolled. The HR orientation page says more than 15,000. The CUDO return says 17,839 for Fall 2023. Three of these are marketing rounding; one is a filed statistical return.

Use the CUDO figure of 17,839 and treat the marketing counts as directional. Neither number changes an admission decision, but it tells you how carefully to read Windsor's other headline claims.

Windsor's own history page dates the campus to September 1857, when Assumption College welcomed its first students. Assumption obtained its own university powers by an Act of the Ontario Legislature on July 1, 1953, renamed itself Assumption University in 1956, and the University of Windsor was incorporated by the Ontario Legislature on December 19, 1962, becoming southwestern Ontario's first autonomous degree-granting institution on July 1, 1963.

Windsor is also Canada's southernmost city and enjoys some of the country's best weather. The Senate policy phrases it as a minimum 70% average of six Grade 12 U or M courses, including ENG4U, and adds that exceptions are listed and the average may be higher depending on the number of applicants.

Windsor's Fall 2026 conditional-offer table lists the minimum admission average only where it differs from 70%: Business Administration 73%, Business Administration (Co-op) 78%, Business and Computer Science (Co-op) 78%, Mathematics with Finance Concentration 73%, Engineering and every Engineering stream 74%, Nursing 75%, Biochemistry (Co-op) and Chemistry (Co-op) 75%, Visual Arts and the Built Environment 75%, Concurrent Education programs 75%, Concurrent Mathematics/Education and Concurrent Science/Education 80%, Political Science with Law & Politics Specialization 80%, and Drama (Co-op) 80%.

The column is headed Fall 2026 Minimum Admission Average (if other than 70%). Blank means 70%, not no minimum.

Windsor calculates a second, subject-specific average on top of the overall one. The Senate policy states that a second average is considered for Biology and Biochemistry (Health and Biomedical Science stream), Business, Computer Science, Forensic Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Human Kinetics, Science and Nursing, that the minimum second average is approximately 70%, that Concurrent Education/French Studies requires a second average of 75%, and that co-op courses are excluded from it.

This is the single most under-read rule at Windsor. An 84% overall average with a 66% chemistry-and-math average fails a program whose headline minimum is 70%.

Every Engineering stream — Civil, Electrical, Environmental, Industrial, Mechanical with its Aerospace, Automotive, Materials and Environmental options, and Mechatronics Systems — lists a 74% Fall 2026 minimum admission average and requires ENG4U, MHF4U, SCH4U and SPH4U, with MCV4U strongly recommended and a minimum average of 74% in all math and science courses (from among MHF4U, SCH4U and SPH4U). Windsor also states there is no supplemental application for admission to our undergraduate engineering programs.

The Applying to UWindsor Engineering page says both Your engineering average of your math and science courses must be 74% or higher and All Engineering undergraduate programs require a minimum 74% average from your top six high school courses — on the same page. The Senate policy states only the narrower rule: a minimum average of 74% in all math and science courses except biology. The top-six framing is not supported by the governing policy.

Plan for both readings: get the top-six average and the math-and-science average to 74% or better. The same page also calls MCV4U very strongly recommended but not yet mandatory, with no effective cycle stated — treat MCV4U as required in practice.

Nursing lists a 75% Fall 2026 minimum admission average and requires ENG4U, SBI4U, SCH4U and one Grade 12 mathematics, with a minimum average of 70% in chemistry and biology and a minimum grade of 65% in Grade 12U English. Windsor's own program page calls it a very competitive program, publishes a mean admission average of 85%, and says entrants typically hold 80% in chemistry and biology.

Mature and transfer Nursing applicants must submit an Applicant Profile form no later than March 1. No Windsor undergraduate program reviewed uses CASPer.

Computer Science requires ENG4U and MHF4U with MCV4U strongly recommended and a minimum 70% average of math courses; the published minimum is 70% and the co-op minimum is 75%, against a mean admission average of 82%. Business Administration requires ENG4U and one Grade 12 U mathematics with a minimum grade of 70% in at least one Grade 12 U math course; the minimum is 73%, co-op is 78%, and the mean is 82%.

At Windsor co-op is a higher admission bar, not a later opt-in you can add for free. The gap is five points in Business and Computer Science and ten points in several Arts programs.

Several Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences programs publish a separate, much higher co-op entry bar. Communication, Media and Film, English Language and Literature, French Studies, History, Modern Languages and Second Language Education, Philosophy, Political Science and Psychology all list a co-op minimum high school admission average of 80% with a minimum grade of 70% in ENG4U, against a 70% non-co-op minimum.

Kinesiology and Health Studies (BSc) requires ENG4U with a minimum grade of 70% and one of SBI4U, SCH4U or SPH4U with a minimum grade of 70%, against a mean admission average of 83%. Sport Management and Leadership requires ENG4U with a minimum grade of 70% and one of MHF4U, MCV4U or MDM4U — a mathematics course, not a science one. Windsor calls it one of the only direct entry Sport Management and Leadership programs in the country.

The Senate policy lists no minimum above 70% for Sport Management and Leadership, while the live program page states 75%. Plan for 75%.

Biology, Biomedical Science and Behaviour, Cognition and Neuroscience require ENG4U, MHF4U, SCH4U and SBI4U with a 70% science-and-math average. Biochemistry and Biomedical Science (Health Stream) requires the same four courses but a 75% science-and-math average. The four-year Bachelor of Forensic Science requires ENG4U, SBI4U, SCH4U and MHF4U with MCV4U recommended, SPH4U strongly recommended, and a 70% average of all required science and math courses.

The Senate policy states that admission to the Concurrent Bachelor of Education routes is to first-year only, with a minimum average of 75% for the BA-based streams, 80% for Concurrent Science/Education and Concurrent Mathematics/Education, and 75% plus Grade 12U French at a minimum 75% for Concurrent French Studies/Education. Concurrent Music/Education adds a music audition with a theory evaluation test and performance on a major instrument, and Concurrent Drama/Education selects on a successful workshop and interview process.

If you miss the first-year Concurrent entry, the consecutive Bachelor of Education has no direct admission from high school — you finish a degree first.

BFA Acting requires auditions held in Windsor and Toronto. Bachelor of Music requires an audition. Drama in Education and Community requires an interview. But BFA Visual Arts does not: Windsor states that a portfolio is not required for admission to our BFA Visual Arts program, however, admission to Year 3 is based on a successful portfolio evaluation. The selection point is two years after you arrive.

Windsor's School of Dramatic Art applications page still lists BFA Acting audition dates of April 5–6, 2025 in Toronto and April 12–13, 2025 in Windsor. Email the department for the 2027 dates rather than assuming the same weekend.

Aeronautics Leadership (Flight Option) inside Liberal Arts and Professional Studies requires ENG4U with a minimum grade of 70% plus MHF4U or MCV4U or MDM4U or SPH4U, and then three things no other Windsor program asks for: a Transport Canada Category 1 Medical Certificate, a Transport Canada Formal Aviation Language Proficiency Demonstration (Canadian citizens who have graduated from a Canadian English or French speaking high school are exempt), and a Supplementary Application Form of short essay questions.

Book the Category 1 medical early. Failing it after you accept an offer leaves you in a program you cannot complete as intended.

Windsor's conditional-offer document says that if you have to upgrade courses to retain your Offer of Admission — through summer school, virtual school, or similar — final official grades for any additional courses taken must be received by the Office of the Registrar by August 31, 2026 for admission to the Fall 2026 term. It also confirms that outside Ontario the requirement is an equivalent secondary school diploma with a minimum 70% overall average of six Grade 12 U or M courses including ENG4U.

Expect the equivalent Fall 2027 date to be August 31, 2027, but confirm it on the version of this document that Windsor publishes for the 2027 academic year.

The Office of Institutional Analysis publishes real Fall 2025 admission averages for new, full-time, first-year Ontario secondary school students: Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences 82.6%, Odette School of Business 83.5%, Human Kinetics 82.2%, Engineering 86.3%, Science 86.5%, Nursing 87.1%, and a University of Windsor total of 84.5%. Across the whole university, 4.1% arrived at 95% or above, 18.5% between 90% and 95%, 28.0% between 85% and 90%, and 8.9% between 70% and 75%.

The series stops at Fall 2025; no Fall 2026 file exists yet. The same document notes that students with averages under 70% are admitted on factors other than the basis of marks — Engineering was the only faculty with such a cohort, at 0.3%.

Windsor's undergraduate English requirements are IELTS Academic or IELTS Online 6.5 overall, TOEFL iBT (including the Home Edition) 83 with a writing score of 20, Duolingo English Test 115, CAEL 60, PTE Academic 60, and Cambridge C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency 176 overall. Windsor also accepts scores from an IELTS one-band retake, and completing ELIP Level III with a minimum grade of 75% satisfies the requirement.

Windsor publishes no IELTS component or band minimum — only the 6.5 overall — and does not list MELAB among accepted tests.

Windsor states directly that you DO NOT need to meet the English proficiency requirements at the time of application. The English Language Improvement Program runs three levels; completing Level III at 75% satisfies the requirement, and Windsor notes you must still apply for your academic program and meet all other admission requirements to gain admission. ELIP terms are dated — Intersession 2026 May 11 to August 14, Fall 2026 September 14 to December 4, and Winter 2027 January 11 to April 16.

A study permit is required if your ELIP program will take longer than six months to complete.

Windsor's Senate policy accepts an International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum overall score of 24 and passes in a minimum of 6 subjects including at least three courses at the Higher Level. For GCE, it requires five passes including two at the Advanced Level, or four passes including three at Advanced, with subject rules — Science and Engineering must include Advanced Level Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry; Nursing must include Advanced Level English, Biology and Chemistry; Commerce must include Advanced Level Mathematics. Jamaica, Barbados, the Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago and the wider West Indies are listed on CSEC/CXC plus GCE A Level or CAPE combinations.

Notarized English translations are necessary if documents are not in English, and photocopies are not accepted. A C grade at GCE Advanced Level can earn transfer credit up to a maximum of six semester courses; no credit is granted for Advanced Subsidiary level.

Windsor states that graduates of accredited high schools will normally qualify for admission if the cumulative high school grade point average is 3.0 or above, encourages SAT or ACT scores as supplements, prefers a class ranking in the top third where rankings are reported, and publishes SAT score code 0904 and ACT score code 7053. For the Bachelor of Commerce it accepts an SAT Math score in lieu of Grade 12 U math at 550 on the SAT Math Test, 600 on SAT Subject Test Math Level 1, or 700 on Math Level 2.

Windsor publishes minimum transfer CGPAs by destination: 60% for general programs, 65% for Engineering, 67% for Odette Business, 70% for Social Work and 75% for Nursing, with Ontario college applicants needing at least one year of an academic CAAT diploma at a minimum cumulative average of B (3.0). Mature applicants must be at least 20 years of age prior to the proposed date of enrolment, be Canadian citizens or permanent residents at the time of application, and not have been in full-time attendance at a secondary school within the previous two years.

Transfer deadlines are November 1 for Winter, March 1 for Spring, and May 1 for Fall. Mature applications are accepted throughout the year and evaluation takes up to four weeks after all documentation is verified.
