The average you need
The minimum is a 70% average of your top six Grade 12 U or M courses. Windsor also lists a mean average of 85%. It calls nursing a very competitive program. It recommends an 85% average and at least 80% in Biology and Chemistry.
So treat 85% as the real target, not 70%. Windsor does not post an acceptance rate for nursing. Work out your number with our Top 6 average calculator.

Dates for Fall 2027
Windsor's own deadline page has not been updated. It still lists January 15, 2024 as the OUAC date for Ontario high school students. It also lists March 1 for Year 1 of Nursing. Those two dates don't agree, and the year is old.
Plan to apply on OUAC by mid-January 2027, and confirm the nursing date with Windsor. Late applications may be considered only if the program has space. See our Ontario deadlines page.

Collaborative program with St. Clair College
The BScN is also offered with St. Clair College at its Windsor and Chatham campuses. Lambton College is leaving the partnership and no longer admits students. The program is the same at every site.
If you apply to Windsor, you take all four years at Windsor. If you apply to St. Clair, you take two years at the college, then year three and the fall of year four at Windsor. Every graduate earns a Windsor BScN and can write the NCLEX.

First year and clinical work
First year includes Professional Nursing I and II, Writing for the Professional Nurse, Human Anatomy and Physiology I and II, and Holistic Health Assessment I.
Clinical courses start in year one with one instructor for every eight students. They continue through the first three years. Windsor works with more than 250 hospital and community agencies in southwestern Ontario. In fourth year you work one to one with a preceptor for 384 hours. There are also seven experiential learning labs.

Support while you study
Windsor's nursing students can book academic and career advising with a Student Success Coordinator. They also get free counselling from a clinical therapist who works inside the program. Windsor says these supports are there to help students succeed in the program.
Students practise in simulation suites before and during placements. The seven experiential labs run across the four years. They link what you learn in class to the care you give on the unit.

If you are already in university or college
Students who have studied after high school apply as transfer students. Windsor needs a 70% cumulative average to consider a transfer. You still need ENG4U, SBI4U, SCH4U and a Grade 12 math, or courses Windsor counts as equal. Admission averages may be higher when many people apply.
Current Windsor students use a Change of Program form. Returning Windsor students submit a returning student application. Both groups, and new transfer students, send an Applicant Profile by March 1. Transfer spots depend on space.

No co-op stream
Windsor's nursing pages describe clinical placements and a preceptorship, not a co-op stream. Hands-on learning is built into the degree instead.
Graduates write the NCLEX, the same exam American nursing students write. Windsor notes this can help graduates who want to work in the United States, though states may have other rules.

Tuition for 2026-27
Windsor posts tuition through a fee estimator, not a printed table. The estimator says it shows the approved fees for the 2026-2027 academic year, per term. You choose Undergraduate, Nursing, full time and your fee category to see the amount.
Windsor also suggests a budget of at least $1,000 a year for textbooks. Incoming year one nursing students may be eligible for the Ontario Learn and Stay Grant, which can cover tuition and books. Check its rules before you count on it.

Entrance scholarships
For 2027-2028 entry, Windsor guarantees a minimum scholarship to Canadian students entering straight from high school. It uses your Grade 12 average. An 85% to 89.99% average earns $1,000. A 90% to 94.99% average earns $10,000 over 8 terms. A 95% or higher average earns $16,000 over 8 terms.
The renewable awards need an 85% average each year and full-time study. Since Windsor's mean nursing average is 85%, many admitted students will qualify for at least the first level.

Residence
Windsor posts residence fees for Fall and Winter 2026-2027 on its residence fees page. Prices depend on the building and meal plan.
The fee estimator can add a residence and meal plan to your tuition estimate. That gives you one number for budgeting.

For parents
The 70% minimum can give false comfort. Windsor's mean is 85%, so help your child aim there and apply to a few other nursing programs too.
Some of Windsor's own pages are out of date. Ask your child to confirm the nursing deadline with Windsor before January. Also look at the Windsor admissions overview.
