Which school admits you

The U of R's business faculty is the Hill Levene School of Business. Undergraduates study in the Paul J. Hill School of Business, and the Kenneth Levene Graduate School of Business runs the master's programs. You apply to the University of Regina and choose the Hill Levene School of Business.

The school says it is accredited by AACSB, which it says fewer than six per cent of business schools worldwide hold.

Course requirements

For Ontario, the final requirements are ENG4U, either MDM4U or MHF4U, one 4U or 4M math, science, language or social science course, and one more course from those groups or the business-approved list. You also need an OSSD.

The U of R strongly recommends taking both MDM4U and MHF4U or MCV4U. The business-approved list includes Financial Accounting Principles, Business Leadership, and International Business Fundamentals. A maximum of two different math courses can count.

The average you need

The U of R requires a 70% average. If you are missing the math course used for final admission, but have 70% on the other three, you can be admitted as a Business Qualifying student.

The U of R does not publish an admitted average or a competitive range for the BBA. Use 70% as the floor. Aim for 85% or more if you want automatic entrance money as an out of province student. Check your standing with our Top 6 average calculator. The U of R counts four courses, so look at your best four that fit.

Early conditional admission, no essay

In Grade 12 you can apply for early conditional admission. The U of R uses Grade 11 and any Grade 12 courses you have finished. You can send an interim grade report and your course schedule. You still must meet the final requirements when you graduate.

The U of R says you can apply for early conditional admission from September 15 of Grade 12. The BBA has no essay, portfolio or interview on the pages we checked.

Dates for Fall 2027

The Ontario business guide lists March 15 as the early application deadline for fall, and August 15 as the final fall deadline. It calls March 15 the recommended deadline for the best course choices and for entrance awards. Final transcripts are due August 1 for students who were conditionally admitted early.

These dates have no year on the page. Confirm them for Fall 2027. Compare all your dates on our Canadian university deadlines page.

What first year looks like

The BBA is a four year degree of 120 credit hours. You don't declare a major when you're admitted. You first build a base across all areas of business.

You can declare a major after 60 credit hours and your 200-level core courses: BUS 205, 210, 250, 260, 275, 285, 288 and 290. Majors are accounting, finance, general business studies, human resource management and marketing. There is also a business law option.

The marketing page says classes use case studies, computer simulations and live local clients.

Co-op

The U of R lists Business Administration among the faculties with co-op. You join after you start, not from high school. Its co-op entrance table, posted as an image on the co-op page, lists for business a 67.50% program GPA, at least 54 and at most 81 credit hours, three work terms with an optional fourth, and BUS 007, 260 and 285 plus ENGL 100.

The placement fee is $1,149 per semester as of Fall 2026. The co-op page says average pay is $3,200 to $4,000 a month, or about $12,800 to $16,000 for a four-month placement. More than half of placements are near Regina.

Once accepted, you attend required workshops on resumes, interviews and the placement process. Employers evaluate your work, and you write a work term report that your faculty grades.

Tuition for 2026-27

The U of R Fall 2026 domestic schedule lists Business Administration at $329.00 per credit hour, the highest rate on the sheet. Five classes (15 credit hours) come to $5,555.40 for the term with mandatory fees. Business students taking 9 or more credit hours also pay a $30 student society fee.

Doubling the term total gives about $11,100 for the year. That is our estimate from the Fall 2026 schedule, not a U of R figure. The U of R's general 2026-27 cost page shows $7,854.60 for tuition and fees and notes that fees vary by faculty.

Scholarships

All fall applicants are considered for automatic entrance awards, with no separate form. Ontario students may qualify for the Out of Province Entrance Scholarship of $1,500 with an early admission average of 85% to 94.99%, if they apply for early admission by March 15.

The Hill Levene School of Business Excellence Program Entrance Scholarship gives $1,000 for a final admission average of 90% to 94.99% and $2,000 for 95% or more. You must apply by August 15 and come straight from a Canadian high school.

Later, the Hill-Ivey HBA Scholarship lets a few students who finish their first two years at Hill move to Ivey Business School at Western. Recipients get $20,000 for each of the two years.

For parents

The 70% floor is low, and Grade 12 students can get a conditional offer early. The main costs to plan for are the business tuition rate of $329.00 per credit hour and co-op placement fees if your child joins.

How the BBA compares to other U of R options

If you're not ready for a full degree, Hill also offers a two year Diploma of Business Administration. Its courses can move into a BBA later. There is also a joint program with the Bachelor of Sport and Recreation Studies.

Hill's five-course certificates, such as International Business or Digital Marketing, can be added to a BBA.
