Wilfrid Laurier Acceptance Rate: What Official Data Shows
Laurier does not publish one university-wide acceptance rate. Its own admissions pages publish program-by-program admission ranges instead, and its own Registrar’s Report publishes application and new-registrant counts — but not an offers-made or admitted figure. Every number below comes from one of those two official sources, with the exact page and date attached.

Official program-by-program admission ranges
Laurier does not publish one blended acceptance rate. Instead, its undergraduate admission requirements page publishes a current admission range and Ontario prerequisites for each program, re-verified live on August 25, 2026. There is no per-program acceptance-rate percentage on any of these pages — only the range below and the prerequisite courses.
| Program | Current admission range | Ontario prerequisites |
|---|---|---|
| Business Administration (BBA) | High 80s | MHF4U and ENG4U at 70%; MCV4U or MDM4U at 60%. All prerequisite courses are included in the admission average. |
| BBA + University of Waterloo Computer Science | Mid 90s | MHF4U and MCV4U at 90%; ENG4U at 80%. This is a highly competitive double-degree route. |
| BBA + University of Waterloo Mathematics | Low 90s | MHF4U and MCV4U at 85%; ENG4U at 80%. |
| BBA + Laurier Computer Science | High 80s | MHF4U and MCV4U at 75%; ENG4U at 70%. |
| Computer Science BA or BSc | High 70s | MHF4U at 60%. The BSc also requires one of MCV4U, SCH4U, or SPH4U at 60%. |
| Data Science BSc | Mid 70s | MHF4U and MCV4U at 80%; ENG4U at 70%. |
| Economics | Low 80s | MHF4U and ENG4U at 70%; MCV4U or MDM4U at 60%. Required courses are included in the admission average. |
| Health Sciences BSc | Low 80s | MHF4U, SBI4U, and SCH4U at 60%. |
| Kinesiology BKin | Low 80s | SBI4U at 70% and one Grade 11 or 12 U/M mathematics course at 60%. Biology and English are included in the admission average. |
| Music BMus | Mid 70s | ENG4U at 60%, plus an audition, interview, reference, and optional portfolio. Music Therapy is not direct entry from high school. |

Applications and new registrants, Fall 2023–2025
Laurier’s own Registrar’s Report publishes a table, “Applications and New Undergraduate Registrants by Faculty and Degree Type,” for every term. The grand totals below are full-time and part-time application and new-registrant counts across every faculty. Laurier’s Registrar’s Report does not publish an offers-made or admitted count, so these figures cannot be turned into an acceptance rate — a new-registrant count blends admission with a student’s separate choice to enrol.
| Term | Full-time applications | Full-time new registrants | Part-time applications | Part-time new registrants |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fall 2023 | 42,226 | 5,125 | 610 | 418 |
| Fall 2024 | 43,542 | 5,255 | 496 | 407 |
| Fall 2025 | 43,183 | 5,720 | 583 | 471 |

Laurier also participates in Common University Data Ontario (CUDO), but the CUDO applicant, registrant, and entering-average detail tables on cudo.ouac.on.ca returned a blocked automated response when checked on August 25, 2026, as did OUAC’s public statistics dashboard. Neither contributes a figure to this page.
What actually determines Laurier admission
The ranges above are university-wide planning evidence, not guaranteed cut-offs. Laurier reviews the required prerequisite courses within the admission average, and offers an optional Applicant Background Summary (ABS) that can add extracurricular context during review. Laurier’s most competitive published routes are its double degrees with the University of Waterloo — the BBA plus Computer Science double degree currently publishes a mid-90s range, well above the high-80s standard BBA range.
For deadlines, the ABS, co-op entry, tuition, scholarships, and residence, see the complete Wilfrid Laurier admissions guide.
