The short answer
- Laurier publishes program ranges, not one acceptance rate. The BBA range is high 80s and the BBA plus Waterloo Computer Science range is mid 90s.
- For Fall 2027, Ontario high-school students apply by January 15, 2027 through OUAC, the Ontario Universities' Application Centre.
- Your top six Grade 12 U/M courses count, including ENG4U at 60% or higher. U/M means university or university/college preparation courses.
- 2026-27 residence room fees run from $8,373 to $11,760 at Waterloo. First-year students who apply with the $600 deposit by the deadline are guaranteed a spot.
- Domestic tuition is $693 per half credit in most non-business programs and $1,184 in the BBA for 2026-27. Entrance scholarships start at $2,500 for 85-89.9%.

Overview
Direct acceptance-rate answer
Laurier does not publish one university-wide acceptance rate
The official admissions sources reviewed publish program-specific ranges and prerequisites—not one current undergraduate acceptance percentage. Those ranges span the mid 70s for some programs to the mid 90s for the BBA and Waterloo Computer Science double degree, and Laurier warns that meeting a listed average does not guarantee admission. Confirmed facts below are separated from 2026-cycle planning evidence so an older fee or deadline is never presented as new.

Treat an unofficial acceptance percentage cautiously
A university-wide estimate can hide major differences between BBA, double degrees, Computer Science, Health Sciences, Music, and other choices. The useful comparison is the live range, required courses, supplemental work, capacity, and applicant profile for the exact program.

Waterloo, Brantford, and Milton campus planning
Choose the program and campus together. Waterloo has Laurier's broadest program range and both dormitory- and apartment-style residence. Brantford is a downtown campus with community-connected programs and apartment-style residence. Milton has a focused program lineup, mixed in-person and online delivery, and no Laurier residence. Confirm the exact program, OUAC choice and delivery format before applying.
The detailed campus comparison below was checked against Laurier sources on September 12, 2026.
Waterloo, Brantford and Milton at a glance
The three campuses are different study environments, rather than interchangeable locations for every Laurier degree. Laurier directs applicants to check both the program and its campus before submitting an OUAC application. The university permits applications to as many as three Laurier programs, and each choice receives its own admission decision.
Use the table as a first filter. The campus program pages remain the authority because offerings and delivery formats can change by intake. A minor available across campuses does not mean the corresponding major is available everywhere. For example, Laurier says the User Experience Design major's required courses are delivered in person at Brantford, while the UX minor is available to students in Brantford, Waterloo and Milton through virtual synchronous courses.
| Decision | Waterloo | Brantford | Milton |

Software Engineering admission is suspended in the 2026–27 academic calendar. |
| Campus form | More than 18,000 students on a compact campus spanning about one large city block. | A downtown campus using restored and modern city buildings, with centralized supports and small classes. | A commuter-oriented academic centre at 555 Industrial Drive with small classes and a mix of in-person and online learning. |
| Laurier residence | Dormitory- and apartment-style options; eligible first-entry undergraduates can qualify for the first-year guarantee. | Apartment-style options; eligible first-entry undergraduates can qualify for the first-year guarantee. | No residence currently. Choose the program before the campus atmosphere
Waterloo is the strongest starting point when you want maximum academic breadth or a program tied to facilities such as the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics or the Savvas Chamberlain Music Building. Laurier names Business Administration, Health Sciences and Biotechnology among Waterloo examples. Its campus page also highlights co-op, community placements and early research opportunities, but these opportunities still depend on the program. Do not treat a campus-wide co-op label as automatic admission to co-op.
Brantford deserves a close look when the subject itself is rooted there. Laurier identifies Health Studies, Human Rights, User Experience Design and Social Work as examples of its community-integrated Brantford offerings. The User Experience Design BDes illustrates this: all major requirements are offered in person at Brantford. The program uses labs, studio work, community design sprints and a senior project with a community or corporate partner. That is a substantive academic reason to choose Brantford, independent of campus size.
Milton currently concentrates on Business Technology Management, Computer Science and Psychology. Laurier announced a Milton Software Engineering BEng for Fall 2026 and promoted it in recruitment material, but the current 2026–27 academic calendar says admission is suspended. Do not select it as an available choice unless Laurier reopens admission in a later official record.
Delivery also needs program-level checking. The Milton Computer Science page labels the program in-person and online; Milton Psychology is listed in person; and the broader campus page describes a mix of in-person and online courses. Compare the exact degree too: Milton Computer Science offers BA and BSc routes, while Milton Psychology is a BA and Waterloo Psychology offers BA and BSc routes.
Housing changes the daily experience
Waterloo and Brantford both participate in Laurier's first-year residence guarantee for undergraduates attending a postsecondary institution for the first time, subject to the published application and deposit deadline. Room assignment is by lottery, so the guarantee is not a promise of a preferred building or room type. Waterloo offers both dormitory and apartment-style residence. Brantford residence is apartment-style, with furnished living and kitchen space, which supports a more self-catered routine.
Dining follows that housing difference. Waterloo has the Fresh Food Company dining hall and campus food outlets; its residence meal-plan rules vary by residence style. Brantford apartments have kitchens, but Laurier's residence page conflicts on the Convenience Plan. The general dining rule calls a meal or convenience plan required for Brantford residents; the Brantford subsection calls it optional. Confirm the signed residence and dining terms before budgeting.
Milton has no Laurier residence. Laurier points Milton students to off-campus housing listings and LOCUS, its community program for students living off campus or at home. Treat commuting or rental planning as part of the campus decision before accepting an offer.
Compare the services you will use in person
Laurier Library lists locations in Waterloo, Brantford's Grand River Hall and the Laurier Milton Academic Centre, while other service formats and locations vary. Milton academic advising offers both in-person and virtual appointments; the current advising page says first-year Science students have a designated adviser and describes limited weekly in-person appointment availability. This makes it useful to ask where your program adviser, labs and study spaces will be, rather than assuming the Waterloo service model is reproduced at every site.
Recreation also reflects place. Waterloo has varsity athletics and its Athletic Complex. Brantford students receive access to the Laurier Brantford YMCA, including its gym and pool. Milton's campus page emphasizes local transit access, free onsite parking and the commuter experience. It states that Milton Transit Route 1 serves the Laurier stop and publishes service frequencies. Check Milton Transit's current trip planner for your commute because schedules can change.
A practical way to make the final choice
First, open the current program page and record the campus, degree, format, required courses and co-op admission method. Second, price the living pattern you would actually use: residence and meal plan in Waterloo, apartment residence or downtown food costs in Brantford, or commuting and off-campus housing in Milton. Third, test an ordinary weekday by mapping home or housing to the correct academic building and checking current transit schedules. Finally, tour that campus and ask where first-year classes, advising, labs, recreation and health appointments are delivered.
- Choose Waterloo when your program is based there and you value the broadest program mix, varsity environment and both dormitory and apartment residence choices.
- Choose Brantford when its program portfolio fits your goals and you prefer a smaller downtown environment, community-connected learning and apartment-style residence.
- Choose Milton when one of its focused programs fits and commuting or independently arranged housing is workable; verify the program's in-person and online mix before applying.

Wilfrid Laurier Co-op & Career Experience
Laurier co-op entry depends on the program
Co-op is not one automatic university-wide benefit. Most eligible students apply after first year against published GPA thresholds, User Experience Design follows a later timeline, and the double degrees have their own automatic or mandatory models. Meeting a GPA threshold earns an interview, not a placement.
BBA, Economics, BBTM, and eligible Arts or Science programs
Apply after first year for entry in the fall of second year. Fall 2026 published minimum first-year GPAs to be considered: 9.0/12 for Business and Economics, 7.0 for BTM, 7.1 for Computer Science. Admission also weighs grades, work, volunteer and extracurricular experience, and an interview.
User Experience Design and the Professional Experience Program
Apply after second year for entry in the fall of third year.
Laurier BBA + Laurier Computer Science or Financial Mathematics
Eligible students can enter the optional co-op route automatically after first year under the published program rules.
Laurier BBA + Waterloo Mathematics
Co-op is a mandatory part of the joint program.

What is and is not guaranteed in BBA co-op
Current program · Published for this period
The standard BBA has no blanket co-op guarantee—admission is competitive after first year. Automatic co-op entry exists only in the all-Laurier BBA + Computer Science and BBA + Financial Mathematics double degrees, and co-op is a mandatory built-in component of the two UWaterloo double degrees. Students removed from their academic program permanently lose co-op eligibility.
