U of T Computer Science Requirements 2027
University of Toronto Computer Science is not one application. St. George, Mississauga and Scarborough publish different ranges, prerequisites, supplements, work terms and first-year program-entry rules. A tri-campus BCS is approved for September 1, 2027, while public HBSc labels lag. This guide preserves that conflict and every pending date.

U of T Computer Science is three different admission plans
St. George, UTM and UTSC use separate OUAC codes, current planning ranges, supplement rules, work-experience models and first-year program-entry systems. For Fall 2027, apply to the campus structure you actually want—not to a generic university name—and treat every published range as planning evidence rather than a guaranteed cut-off.
Approved degree transition
One tri-campus BCS begins September 1, 2027
U of T governance approved the four-year Bachelor of Computer Science at St. George, UTM, and UTSC. The central program finder still labels all three routes HBSc. Treat that as a lagging public-page conflict and verify the credential in the campus calendar and offer.
St. George vs UTM vs UTSC requirements
These are the current Ontario high school requirements and competitive ranges published by U of T. Applicants from another curriculum must switch the official program finder to their own school system.

“Low 90s,” “mid-to-high 80s,” and “high 90s” are U of T's current approximate or competitive ranges. They are not minimums that guarantee an offer.
Two campuses now require Computer Science supplements
The earlier version of this guide named only St. George. UTM's current Computer Science page and dedicated supplement page now make its separate written response mandatory too.

Fall 2027 deadline warning
UTM is current; St. George and UTSC dates remain pending
OUAC confirms January 15, 2027 for Group A applicants. UTM confirms February 1, 2027 for its mandatory CS supplement. St. George and UTSC still show prior-cycle campus dates, so their Fall 2027 tasks must come from the new pages and Join U of T.
High-school admission and first-year CS entry are separate
A headline admission range does not tell you the full academic risk. Each campus has a different route from its high-school category into a Computer Science specialist, major or minor.
St. George
A published admission guarantee with course conditions
Students admitted to the Year 1 Computer Science category receive a conditional program-entry guarantee. They must complete 4.0 credits, earn at least 70% in CSC110Y1 and 77% in CSC111H1, and finish the listed mathematics sequence within 12 months. The minor uses a 70% CSC111H1 condition. Data Science has separate competitive entry.
UTM
CMP1 and non-CMP1 students use different routes
CMP1 students use CSC110Y5 and CSC111H5. The Specialist carries a conditional guarantee at 70% and 77% plus the other named requirements, while the Major has its own fixed CMP1 course route. Non-CMP1 students cannot enter the Specialist; they may compete for the Major through CSC148H5, MAT102H5, annually determined thresholds, and a program-entry supplement.
UTSC
Direct category plus first-year POSt conditions
UTSC students still apply to a Computer Science program of study after first year. The current 2026 category rules use four named CS and mathematics courses, a 2.5 GPA across them, at least B in CSCA48 and at least C- in two of the other three. Extra-space entry from outside the category is expected to be more competitive.
UTM has three first-year Computer Science routes
The old generic UTM POSt explanation is no longer accurate. CMP1 students use the new CSC110/CSC111 sequence. Non-CMP1 students use a separate competitive route and cannot enter the Specialist.

- 1Confirm the correct campus code instead of treating U of T Computer Science as one application.
- 2Audit the exact Ontario prerequisites for each campus; St. George's current admission table differs from UTM and UTSC.
- 3Treat the published ranges as current planning evidence, not guaranteed cut-offs.
- 4Complete both the St. George and UTM supplements if applying to those campuses.
- 5Read the first-year program-entry rules before choosing a campus; UTM alone has separate CMP1 Specialist, CMP1 Major, and non-CMP1 Major routes.
- 6Compare ASIP, UTMCIP and UTSC's three required co-op work terms as distinct experience systems.
- 7Keep a viable alternative that you would genuinely study; an adjacent category is not a guaranteed back door into CS.
