University of Regina Education admission requirements for Fall 2027 planning
For Fall 2027 planning, Regina Education's current minimum admission average is 65%. Ontario applicants need English and three approved senior courses, with extra subjects for Elementary and some Secondary teaching areas. You can enter a four-year BEd from high school. Choose the teaching route before finalising your maths and science timetable.

Regina BEd subjects depend on what you plan to teach
The faculty's general four-course pattern doesn't remove the teaching-area prerequisites.

Choose the four-year BEd that matches your teaching goal
Regina offers a four-year Bachelor of Education from high school. You don't first have to finish a separate bachelor's degree for this route. Elementary options include Early Elementary, covering Pre-K to Grade 5, and Middle Years, covering Grades 6 to 9. The Secondary program concerns high school teaching. It asks you to plan a major and a minor teaching subject. Those choices can change which school courses you need.
After-degree routes are different. The program pages also list two-year options for people with an approved prior degree. A shorter program on the same website isn't a two-year route straight from Grade 12. Regina also lists five-year joint degrees, including BEd/BKin and BEd/BSc Mathematics. Joint applicants must meet both faculties' conditions. Read the actual degree name and entry background before choosing the form or comparing how long the program takes.
This is also different from choosing a concurrent education program elsewhere that awards two degrees together. Compare the credential and teaching levels, not just the word Education. The Regina school overview covers the wider university. If physical education is your goal, check the separate Kinesiology requirements alongside the joint-degree rules. An ordinary BKin and a teaching degree have different outcomes.

Build the Ontario course set before comparing marks
The Ontario faculty guide lists ENG4U, two approved 4U/M academic subjects and one further approved 4U/M course. The middle pair can come from Maths, Science, Language or Social Science. U means university preparation and M means university/college preparation. Use the actual approved list when a course has an unfamiliar name. A senior elective doesn't count in every part of the calculation simply because it earns a school credit.
The page limits the admission calculation to two different maths courses. Keep that rule in view if your strongest marks are all in maths. You must still meet the required subject pattern. The four-course assessment also doesn't replace the need to finish your school credential. Early conditional review can use completed Grade 11 and Grade 12 work, but you still have to meet the final conditions after graduation.
The checked guides don't print an individual minimum percentage for every required school subject. The published 65% is an admission average. Don't label it as a 65% English or science floor without evidence. An Ontario Top 6 calculation can help you plan other applications, but it isn't Regina's four-course assessment. Write out the correct subject set first, then ask admissions how any repeated or unusual course will be treated.
Keep the extra maths and science subjects for your teachable areas
Elementary applicants need a senior maths course. The Ontario guide says any Grade 12 maths, while the Saskatchewan guide requires a 30-level maths other than Calculus 30 for that role. Keep those provincial instructions separate. Ask about an unusual course level before counting it among the four assessed university or mixed courses. A broad reference to maths isn't permission to choose any course code without checking its place in the list.
Secondary Maths as a major or minor needs Pre-Calculus preparation. Physics needs Pre-Calculus and Physics. Chemistry needs Pre-Calculus, Chemistry and Physics. These are subject conditions in addition to the average. A student interested in teaching Chemistry should therefore check Physics before dropping it. The requirement is not limited to the subject you most enjoy. A minor teaching area can also add a prerequisite to the school plan.
The program lists many other teaching areas, including English, Social Studies, Biology and Health. Their degree courses have their own sequences. Choosing a teaching subject now should lead to a realistic first-year plan. Use the current faculty guide rather than assuming that every BEd choice uses the same science combination. If your major or minor is uncertain, preserve the school subjects for the plausible choices and ask which prerequisites can be completed later.

Treat 65% as a minimum within competitive selection
Both the domestic and international faculty guides state 65% average required. They also say all programs are competitive entry, with final decisions made by the faculty. Neither publishes a separate Fall 2027 admitted-class average or winning range. A minimum allows assessment; it doesn't reserve a seat. Keep that meaning when comparing this BEd with another university that publishes last year's entering average or a recommended range.
Regina's 2026-27 calendar flags approved changes for the Fall 2027 intake, including a linked four-course requirements chart. That chart returned 404 in this review. The current province guides are readable and give the course lists shown here. The older calendar keeps earlier subject-count wording in places. We don't silently merge the editions or claim to have checked the unavailable chart. Confirm the applicable subject assessment before relying on a borderline file.
Saskatchewan applicants should use their own Secondary Level or Adult 12 standing and the current English 30 instructions. Eligible Fransaskois or Immersion students have named French substitutions. Another province should use its own faculty guide. Don't assign an Ontario code to a Saskatchewan course or add an extra English solely from an older calendar. Recheck the cycle notice and current requirements on November 1, 2026.

Use international credentials and Education's language-test table
The international guide gives the senior subject pattern and country-specific credentials. It requires the additional maths or sciences for the intended teaching area too. For IB, the faculty's applicant gateway accepts the Diploma with at least 24 points as secondary standing. That statement doesn't waive subject rules or competitive selection. Follow the credential route for your actual studies, including any prior college or university work.
Education has its own English proficiency test thresholds. Current IELTS Academic guidance requires overall 7.0, Speaking and Writing at 7.0, and Listening and Reading at 6.0. The university's general IELTS 6.5 table expressly excludes Education. A required school English course and proof of language skills are separate checks. Read the exemption rules if you have qualifying prior English-language study rather than assuming citizenship alone decides the requirement.
The Education section still prints a legacy TOEFL total of 103 with its section scores. It doesn't give a new-scale Education equivalent alongside the general January 2026 update. The published IELTS One-Skill Retake window also ends in July 2026. Neither point confirms a Fall 2027 retake or new-scale Education threshold. Ask the faculty which current result it will accept before booking a test, and follow the evidence deadline for your own file.

Follow the Education form and any program assessment
Use the university's own Education application route, rather than selecting an unrelated faculty and assuming a later transfer is automatic. The 2026-27 calendar refers to a Teacher Education Profile in place of the general undergraduate form. It also calls the selection form a Teacher Education Application. The current provincial guide doesn't settle the exact Fall 2027 format or deadline. Follow the faculty's live instructions and the tasks assigned in your application account.
The dated calendar says selection considers the full file and that interviews may be arranged for some programs. The international guide explicitly requires an interview for Indigenous Education. Joint Music lists an interview, theory test and audition. Those tasks should not be assigned to every ordinary Elementary or Secondary applicant. No Casper requirement is listed in the checked sources. An absence on this guide is not a substitute for reading your own current checklist.
Write any assessed responses yourself and use the school's directions for access or technical issues. Keep the form task separate from the subject checklist. If the faculty requests an interview or another item, note the actual invitation date and instructions. We have not invented a common 2027 interview or audition day. Recheck the assessment notices on November 1, 2026 and again when you open the faculty's application route.

Keep annual deadlines separate from confirmed 2027 dates
For domestic applicants, the deadline table shows March 15 for early fall applications and August 15 as the final deadline. The province guides repeat those dates without an intake year. They explain that early application supports course choice and entrance-award access. These are the latest standing instructions, not an independently dated Fall 2027 schedule. The Canadian deadlines guide helps compare systems, but the faculty and your file own the actual closing tasks.
Domestic instructions give August 1 for final records from early conditional entrants and August 15 for general fall documents. Official records must come from the issuer. International instructions differ: the August 15 application date can change with volume, and the school recommends applying at least three months ahead. Conditional international documents follow their stated later deadline and personal checklist. Don't import a domestic transcript date into an international file.
Indigenous Education has separate March 31 and June 30 application checkpoints for April and July interviews. Those are also yearless on the checked guide. The online Elementary after-degree is a different program with its own process. None of those exceptions extends or defines every four-year BEd deadline. Confirm the exact route, entry term and assessed items before paying, then set reminders from the instructions that actually apply to you.

Understand school practice and your next planning step
School experience begins early in the degree. The current field page describes at least four half-days in first year. Third-year practice includes eight fall days and a three-week winter block. Programme pages describe a typical fourth-year internship lasting 16 weeks. These are degree-stage references to recheck as you progress. An internship in teacher training is not a general co-op job offer, and it should not be treated as confirmed first-year earnings.
You will study teaching methods, curriculum, assessment and the social context of schooling. Secondary students also build their major and minor subjects. Completing the academic degree and obtaining teacher certification are further stages beyond the school offer. Read the program outcomes and practice expectations before committing to the route. Think about working with the age group you have chosen, including the preparation and responsibilities involved in school placements.
The university's domestic cost page labels its sample budget 2026-27. Tuition varies with faculty and registered credits. It is not an approved Fall 2027 quote or an international price. Use the Regina funding section and housing section for broader planning. Your immediate task is to choose the teaching route, list the required school subjects and confirm the current Education form and deadlines with the faculty.
