University of Regina Arts admission requirements for 2027
For Fall 2027 planning, Regina Arts currently requires a 70% average for regular entry. Ontario applicants need ENG4U, two approved maths, science or social science courses, and one further approved 4U/M course. Economics adds a named maths choice. Arts Qualifying is a separate route for lower averages with all required subjects.

Choose Arts for the subjects, not just a broad backup label
Regina's Faculty of Arts includes humanities and social sciences. Its departments cover subjects such as History, Economics, Psychology, English and Political Studies. These fields ask different questions and use different forms of evidence. Some courses focus on texts or arguments. Others use research methods and data. Compare a few likely subjects before treating the BA as one generic option with no academic direction.
Arts is also different from the Faculty of Media, Art and Performance. A fine arts portfolio or an audition requirement does not automatically apply to an ordinary BA. Equally, broad Arts entry does not settle every later program decision. Some degrees or advanced routes have further requirements. Read the precise credential and subject page rather than deciding from a faculty name alone.
Start with the Regina school overview for the wider campus choice. This page owns the BA entry pattern and the qualifying-year question. Other program guides cover degree-specific decisions. If your interests cross faculties, compare their first-year courses as well as the school minimum. A broad entry route is useful when it leads to subjects you would actually want to study.

Build Ontario's assessed set from the exact core list
The current Ontario Arts guide names ENG4U, two approved 4U or 4M courses in maths, science or social science, and one additional approved 4U or 4M course. U means university preparation. M means university/college preparation. This is a four-course faculty pattern, not the six-course calculation used by many Ontario universities. Keep the course codes with your marks when you compare options.
The wider approved table also includes languages. Ontario's named core pair does not include Language, while Saskatchewan's and the international guide's pair do. A course in a broad approved table isn't automatically valid in every position of the faculty pattern. If you want to use two languages in the core pair, ask Regina to confirm. This guide preserves that difference instead of assuming the lists mean the same thing.
Regina limits the admission calculation to two different maths courses. The extra elective still needs the stated course level and approved subject status. Use the course planner to hold your current and planned subjects beside each university's list. A timetable can meet the school diploma while missing a university's assessed set. It is better to find that gap before course changes close.

Keep Economics maths and later degree planning in view
Regina's Ontario guide adds a maths condition if you intend to major in Economics. It names Math of Data Management, MDM4U, or Advanced Functions, MHF4U. Saskatchewan names Pre-Calculus 30 or Foundations of Math. The international guide requires a senior secondary maths course. These are published program-specific details. Do not apply a general claim that an Arts degree never needs maths to this intended major.
Even when a subject is not required for faculty entry, a later university course can have prerequisites. Look at the early courses in your likely major. That is especially useful if you are comparing a text-based field with a more quantitative one. Ask academic advising how an undecided first term can keep both options open. The university owns its course-equivalency decisions and any permitted way to make up a missing prerequisite.
The 2026-27 calendar gives the current degree framework, including honours and other later routes. It isn't a final degree audit for a person who will enter in Fall 2027. Read the edition that applies when you register. A high school offer should start your degree planning, not end it. Keep notes on the subject you want to explore and on courses that lead into its next level.

Distinguish the 70% minimum from Arts Qualifying
The current regular-entry minimum is 70%. No checked source publishes an admitted-class range for Fall 2027. The number is not an acceptance rate or a forecast of your own result. The guides also do not give a separate minimum mark in every required school subject. Keep the average under its published label, and read any final conditions on the offer you receive.
Domestic Arts pages describe a qualifying year at 60% to 69.99% when all required subjects are present. The 2026-27 calendar instead prints 60% to 69%. That difference matters to someone near the upper boundary. We have retained both wordings and the dated edition. Ask admissions which applies to your file rather than rounding a mark or quietly replacing one source with the other.
The dated calendar says qualifying students may take at most 12 credit hours each term and must see an Arts or federated-college academic adviser before registration. It sets a later progress review too. These are conditions attached to the route, not a lower regular BA cutoff. The international faculty page does not repeat the domestic qualifying offer. International applicants should seek a decision for their own record rather than assume that band is available to them.

Read the Fall 2027 curriculum change without mixing editions
The 2026-27 calendar flags a Saskatchewan curriculum change for Fall 2027. It links to a new high school requirements chart, but that URL returned 404 during this review. The current faculty pages are readable and use four-subject patterns. The calendar still contains older English and subject-count wording in places. The table above uses the current pages while disclosing the older edition and the unavailable chart.
Saskatchewan's current Arts list specifically names English Language Arts A30, two approved academic subjects and a further approved course. It includes the French substitutions for the eligible school streams. That is different from assuming both A30 and B30 must always enter the new assessment. If you are affected by the curriculum change, confirm the applicable English and assessed set with the university.
For another province, use its own Arts application guide. International applicants need the named country credential as well as the senior subject pattern. A school-leaving certificate and an approved subject list answer different parts of the application. Recheck the broken future chart and any target-cycle notice on November 1, 2026. Keep that editorial recheck date separate from a university deadline.

Follow the ordinary application and your own record checklist
Apply through Regina's own system rather than OUAC. A current high school applicant may receive early conditional review using completed Grade 11 and Grade 12 work. Final admission still depends on finishing the required record. Official final transcripts come from the issuing body. If you have studied at a college or university, use the applicant category that fits that history instead of assuming this school-entry guide covers the transfer decision.
The domestic standing dates are March 15 for early fall application and August 15 for final application. Early conditional final records are due August 1 under the current guide; the general fall document date is August 15. The pages do not name an intake year. They are annual guidance for Fall 2027 planning here, with target-cycle confirmation still needed.
International instructions say the August 15 application date can change with volume and recommend applying at least three months ahead. Conditional final records follow their own last-day-to-add rule. Language evidence is a separate check. No ordinary Arts essay, portfolio, interview or Casper is listed in the checked sources. Follow the tasks assigned to your file and use the Canadian deadlines guide to compare other schools.

Use advising, work experience and dated costs to test your plan
Arts Student Services helps with choosing courses, changing programs and tracking degree progress. Students admitted through a federated college are directed to that college's own advising. Use the correct adviser for your registration and degree questions. The linked Arts handbook is dated 2023. Where current degree rules matter, this guide instead uses the separately fetched 2026-27 calendar and labels that edition.
The Arts site links its work-experience internship. Regina also has a wider co-op and internship system. A broad BA offer does not guarantee a work place or make every major eligible for the same work route. Ask which option fits your actual program, when you can apply and what fees or study conditions apply. Compare that answer with the subject plan you would follow without a placement.
The university's sample domestic budget is explicitly 2026-27. Faculty and registered credits affect tuition, while its housing examples depend on the living arrangement. It isn't an approved Fall 2027 price or an international quote. Read Regina scholarships and funding and housing choices. Next, confirm the assessed subject set, any Economics maths condition and the correct application route. Recheck yearless dates and unapproved fees on November 1, 2026.
