Regina Kinesiology admission requirements for Fall 2027
For Fall 2027 planning, Regina's Bachelor of Kinesiology has a current 70% admission minimum. Ontario BKin applicants need English, Advanced Functions, one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics, and a fourth approved course. The faculty also offers other degrees with different subject rules. A later Human Kinetics fieldwork placement is unpaid.

Start with the BKin rather than the faculty name alone
Kinesiology studies movement, exercise and their effects on health. Regina's Human Kinetics route leads to a Bachelor of Kinesiology, with an honours option. The current program page describes four years of study. You can explore how bodies move and how people adapt to activity. That is a different course plan from managing sport organizations or studying health through a broader social lens.
Several degrees sit within Kinesiology and Health Studies. Their school requirements are not all the same. Health Studies follows the Faculty of Arts admission rules. Sport and Recreation Studies has different maths options. A joint degree adds the other faculty's requirements. Check the exact credential on the application, since the broad faculty heading can hide a note that changes the subjects you need.
The Regina university guide covers the wider campus choice. If your goal is teaching physical education, read the Education entry guide as well. A movement-science degree and a teaching degree prepare you for different next steps. Don't choose an ordinary BKin on the assumption that its name also grants a teaching credential.

Keep Advanced Functions and a named science for Ontario BKin
The general Ontario faculty list starts with ENG4U, a maths choice and two further approved courses. Just below it, the BKin note requires Advanced Functions and one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics. For this degree, read the broad pattern and the specific note together. Math of Data Management on the general line does not replace Advanced Functions for the BKin.
Your school plan should therefore retain English 4U and Advanced Functions 4U. Add at least one of the named senior sciences, then the fourth approved university or mixed course. U means university preparation and M means university/college preparation. The page caps the assessed set at two different maths courses. Use the approved table to check an elective, rather than treating every senior school credit as interchangeable.
The high school course planner can help compare that plan with other movement-science degrees. One school might require Biology while another allows Physics or Chemistry. Keep each school's actual wording. The fact that Biology may be useful preparation does not make it a universal mandatory subject here when the BKin note gives a choice among three sciences.
Read 70% as a minimum and qualifying status as a separate route
Regina currently prints 70% average required. The checked sources do not publish a Fall 2027 entering-class mean or a guaranteed offer range. They also do not state a separate percentage floor for every BKin prerequisite. Keep the average and the subject conditions together. Meeting one part of the entry list doesn't remove the other part, and your actual offer can include final conditions.
The faculty describes Kinesiology Qualifying for BKin or BSRS applicants who are missing one required subject and/or have an average from 65% to 69.99%. That is the published qualifying route, rather than regular entry at a lower cutoff. Ask which course you would need to complete and what conditions apply to registration. Don't extend the route to Health Studies just because it shares the faculty name.
Current pages use a four-course pattern. The 2026-27 calendar flags Fall 2027 admission changes but links to a chart that returned 404. Older calendar subject wording is not silently blended into this list. Confirm the rule for your intake with Regina, especially if a missing course makes qualifying status central to your plan. Recheck the unavailable chart and new notices on November 1, 2026.

Use the right provincial or international course equivalents
Saskatchewan's BKin note names Pre-Calculus 30 and one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics 30. Those sit with English 30 and a fourth approved course in the current entry model. The broader line allows Foundations of Math for BSRS only. If you want the BKin, preserve Pre-Calculus. Eligible Fransaskois and Immersion students should read the named French substitutions rather than assuming every Language Arts course is accepted.
The international BKin instructions require senior Pre-Calculus and one of the named sciences too. You also need the credential for your country and the other approved academic subjects. Joint-degree applicants must satisfy both faculties. If your record includes previous university or college work, use the applicant category that fits that history. The high school guide is for people with no such study, including those who have already graduated from school.
English language proficiency is checked apart from the academic subject list. Regina publishes tests and eligible prior-study routes. Read the current rule for the proof you plan to use, and arrange any required translated records. Don't assign a percentage to a foreign course yourself or assume the university's general school English requirement settles a language-test exemption.

Compare Human Kinetics study with the work you want to try
Human Kinetics includes the science of movement and exercise. Regina names biomechanics, physiology, motor control and exercise psychology within the program. Some courses use labs and practical work with the community. Read the actual course descriptions to see which methods interest you. Enjoying school sport can be a starting point, but university study also involves scientific evidence, measurement and careful written work.
The current program has High Performance and Adaptation and Rehabilitation concentrations. The first develops study around performance and conditioning. The second explores disability, support and rehabilitation. These are later academic choices within the degree, not two separate Grade 12 winning averages. Compare the subject sequence and practical learning before deciding which direction fits. Keep an open first-year plan if you are still choosing between them.
The program describes courses that prepare students for later fitness certification exams. Taking a course and receiving a professional designation are distinct stages. The same is true for later professional or graduate study. A BKin offer isn't a place in Physiotherapy, Medicine or another professional program. Choose the undergraduate work on its own merits and check any later destination's entry rules separately.

Budget for unpaid fieldwork instead of assuming paid co-op
The Human Kinetics page describes a 15-week, full-time fieldwork experience. The faculty's wider placement page gives a typical range of 12 to 16 weeks. Those descriptions are compatible. The wider page also says fieldwork is unpaid, students earn credits and students pay tuition. Keep those terms together when you compare this degree with one that advertises paid co-op work terms.
Regina's paid internship description applies only to Sport and Recreation Management majors or the joint Business degree named on that page. It lasts at least eight months and can run up to a year. That is not the general BKin Human Kinetics placement. A family budget should not count a paid internship simply because both programs sit within the same faculty.
Placements involve learning goals, assignments and review of your work. The host and role can affect travel or living plans. Ask the faculty about the practical steps and costs closer to the placement year. A current placement description isn't a promise about your eventual host or earnings. Separate the academic degree choice now from later work selection and any professional requirements that may apply then.

Track application, transcript and fee years separately
Use Regina's own application route. The domestic guide lists March 15 for early fall applications and August 15 for the final application. Its early conditional final-record date is August 1, with August 15 for general fall documents. These are standing dates without an intake year. They remain annual guidance here, rather than being restated as confirmed Fall 2027 deadlines.
International instructions give an August 15 closing date that can change with application volume. They recommend applying at least three months ahead, and their conditional final documents follow the last-day-to-add rule. Use the checklist for your own file. No general BKin essay, portfolio, interview or Casper requirement is listed in the checked sources. Follow any individual request from the university rather than submitting an invented supplement.
The Canadian deadlines page can hold your other choices beside Regina. Its current domestic sample budget is labelled 2026-27; faculty and registered credits change tuition. Approved Fall 2027 tuition remains unconfirmed here. Read Regina funding and residence planning, then check your exact BKin subjects and application tasks. Recheck yearless dates and fees on November 1, 2026.
