The 80% estimated admission average
UVic's estimated admission average for Computer Science is a minimum of 80%, based on the required Grade 12 courses. UVic says it is an estimate from recent cycles, and the real average may be higher in future because of competition and limited space. Meeting the minimums does not guarantee admission.
UVic doesn't publish a Computer Science acceptance rate. Our University of Victoria acceptance rate page covers what it does share. Use our Top 6 average calculator to see where your marks sit, but remember UVic uses its own required courses, not your top six.
Expanded Qualifications
Computer Science has no required supplementary application, interview or Casper test. Academic performance is the main criterion. UVic also has an optional Expanded Qualifications category for a limited number of students graduating from Canadian high schools.
You only submit it if you are worried your grades may not be enough. You must still meet the minimum requirements. It looks at sustained community engagement or leadership, and Engineering and Computer Science has its own documents.

How to apply and key dates
You apply through EducationPlannerBC, not the OUAC. The fee is $89.50 if all your transcripts come from Canada. Most degree programs, including Computer Science, close January 31 for September entry. UVic's deadlines page calls these annual fixed dates and doesn't print the year, so for Fall 2027 that means January 31, 2027.
High school students who send grades by early December can be considered for early admission. Ontario and other Canadian students self-report interim grades. Computer Science also takes January entry, with a September 30 deadline. Some programs stay open after the deadline, but they can close without warning.
