University of Victoria application deadlines for Fall 2027

UVic calls its admissions deadlines annual fixed dates and reserves the right to change them. Most September degree programs use January 31. The line has no year, so this is the current planning rule for Fall 2027 rather than a newly dated closing notice. Check your chosen degree before sending. The central page also covers certificates and other admission categories. Their later dates don't extend a standard first-year degree form. Use the UVic university guide to compare the broad academic options, then return to the correct program rules.

Some teacher routes are after a degree and use January 2. Other annual dates serve Public Administration certificates and diplomas or visiting study. These aren't later Grade 12 degree deadlines. Check who can apply before you choose a date. For course choices, read the UVic Computer Science guide or UVic Engineering guide. Keep the main form apart from extra program work and housing. Being on time doesn't excuse a missing required course. Use the degree name on your receipt to check that you've chosen the right route.

Submit your university form through EducationPlannerBC. UVic then sends a confirmation email with your student number, normally within three to five business days. Use that number to create the NetLink ID for the form portal. An admission assistant normally introduces themselves within two weeks after confirmation, but high-volume periods can take longer. Keep both messages. The checklist shows what your form needs next. Don't treat a successful payment to the form service as proof that every grade or portfolio is already with the right UVic office.

We haven't confirmed a common exact Fall 2027 admission-record cutoff or academic reply day here. Those tasks depend on your school background and the steps you receive. If a record is requested, ask the admission assistant how and when it should arrive. Keep the reply with the request so you don't confuse an estimate about processing with permission to send it late.

Visual Arts needs a digital portfolio by a yearless January 31. The main school form isn't enough. Visual Arts and Computer Science needs a portfolio by that date too. Music and Computer Science names its own program form and portfolio, also due January 31. Read the steps for the exact degree. The main EducationPlannerBC form doesn't send that work for you. Don't swap a Music performance audition for the combined degree's portfolio. A general Computer Science record list won't cover the arts task. Keep a receipt for each file you send.

The Visual Arts page also mentions March 2027 and early April. Those are expected dates for upper-year Team-Taught courses and Honours entry. They don't extend the first-year portfolio date. Write the study level next to the task. Someone already at university follows a different process from Grade 12. We haven't found an exact new-cycle opening day for the first-year portfolio form here. If the form still shows an old year, ask the arts office what to use. Don't assume a changed heading means an extra month to apply.

The Bachelor of Music admissions page says the audition and supporting records are due February 15. The department gives February 15 for the audition form and references, but February 28 for recorded auditions. Those date lines have no years. The department also retains a September 2025 introduction beside its 2027 live audition heading. We state that difference rather than choosing a later date for you. Ask Music which submission is due on each day for your intake and instrument. Keep the departmental reply with your calendar.

Live Music auditions are dated February 27 and 28, 2027. Piano, strings and voice use February 27. Woodwinds, brass and percussion use February 28. That doesn't book a place for you. Ask Music about your time and any other instrument. Give referees time to send their letters too. Theatre has a different task: supporting records with a resumé and essay, due a yearless January 31. Don't use Music's session dates for that file. Nor do upper-year arts dates set a first-year audition. Check the degree and task before you make travel plans.

First-year housing rules name 2027-28. The Fall 2027 form opens October 5, 2026. To get the guarantee, graduate in 2027 and come straight from high school. Apply to UVic by January 31. Apply for housing by February 15. The closing lines don't repeat the year, but sit in those new-cycle rules. The May lottery is a separate route. Some students deferred their place from 2026 to 2027 with approval. They can keep first-year housing status if they meet the stated terms. They should ask Housing to update the file before starting.

Other undergraduates use the housing lottery. Its Fall 2027 heading gives May 15 as the deadline. Apply for the full year, September to April. From May 16, new forms go to the waitlist. Neither a lottery number nor a waitlist place promises a room. Read the UVic residence comparison for room types. If you'll study at West Shore, check the trip to class. Campus housing is at Gordon Head. Think about that distance before you pay. Getting into the degree doesn't itself reserve a room.

The current housing process gives you 48 hours to accept a room offer. You must pay the acceptance fee and security deposit and agree to the contract. Missing the window cancels the offer. Housing sends time-sensitive email, so keep your address current and check spam folders. The page describes first-year offers between mid-March and August, mostly before the end of June for qualifying guarantee students. Those are broad windows, not a promised room-assignment day. A preferred room or roommate isn't assured by applying on time.

Current housing pages list a $50 form fee and $250 security deposit. They also need a room acceptance fee. Those sums aren't each dated as new 2027-28 prices. This guide hasn't checked the full new payment schedule or exact acceptance fee. Read your room offer and contract before paying. If you cancel after accepting, send the written notice the rules ask for. You can't move this form to a future year by default. Keep the room payment apart from the academic deposit. They have their own due dates and serve different tasks.

The automatic scholarship amount table says 2027-28. The date table has no years. If you're in Grade 12 outside BC and will earn a Canadian school diploma, self-report marks from February 15 to March 15 for awards. BC students use the stated transcript service instead. Those aren't the same tasks. Reporting your marks doesn't send the final official record for entry. The UVic financial-aid section explains support types. Read the rule for your school system. An award with no form may still need grades to reach the right office.

Some entrance awards need a form based on criteria beyond grades. The current window is February 15 to April 30 with no year. Check the named award and who can apply. Transfers have other record dates. For September entry, the award table says September 15 without a year. That isn't permission to send admission records late. UVic needs to admit you before it can offer an award. You must also meet the award's course-load rules. The new amount table doesn't set an exact result day or add years to the date lines.

Your offer email gives the academic deposit date. UVic puts that payment towards tuition. Wait for the payment credit and receipt to confirm you've accepted. The current sum is $250 for Canadian citizens or permanent residents. It is $5,000 for international citizens. Those prices have no year here. Don't call them newly checked Fall 2027 fees. Your bank method may take several working days. Starting a payment on the last day can be too late. Use the official steps, then check that UVic received the full amount.

Your school or issuing body must send the official final record. A copy from you doesn't count as official. Current Ontario high school students can use an OUAC reference number for automatic transcript transfer. If you don't have one, ask your school to send the record. Other school systems use their own bodies. Keep checking your offer's final conditions after you accept. Paying doesn't remove them. We haven't found one shared dated Fall 2027 final-transcript day here. Your checklist and admission assistant give the date for your own file.

Match your degree to its extra work. If you want the first-year room guarantee, plan the February task now. Ask Music which date serves each file before you book or send a recording. Check qualified facts again November 1, 2026. The Canadian university deadline table compares other schools. A later date elsewhere doesn't extend UVic's rule. Some late UVic forms stay open if you can still select the degree in EducationPlannerBC. That choice can close without warning. Don't treat an open form as extra time for a missed portfolio or room guarantee.
