Programs and Pathways

Degree and program fit

U of R credentials with a Luther academic home

Luther students can pursue eligible U of R Arts, Science, MAP and La Cité pathways. Luther’s clearest program-level differentiators are its first-year bundles, L-designated course sections and pre-professional advising—not a separate catalogue of degrees.

Arts

Luther students pursue University of Regina Faculty of Arts degrees while using Luther classes, faculty access, advising and community.

Boundary: The BA and its program rules are U of R-owned; the wider U of R catalogue is not a list of Luther-owned degrees.

Science

Luther supports University of Regina Science study, including first-year science courses and pre-professional planning.

Boundary: U of R awards the BSc and sets prerequisites; Luther’s English and Science bundle is a cohort option, not a separate degree.

Media, Art and Performance

Applicants can select Luther while pursuing an eligible U of R Media, Art and Performance route.

Boundary: Creative-program entry and degree requirements belong to U of R, even when a student’s federated home is Luther.

La Cité

Luther’s university-campus FAQ includes La Cité among the academic routes available to Luther students.

Boundary: La Cité admission and credential ownership remain with U of R.

Crime and Justice bundle

A first-year cohort of up to 30 students groups English 100 and Psychology 101, with optional electives.

Boundary: The bundle is first-come after admission and registration opens; it is not a direct-entry major or a seat guarantee.

English and Science bundle

A first-year cohort of up to 36 students links Biology, Chemistry and English across fall and winter.

Boundary: The grouped courses support a U of R Science pathway; they do not replace faculty or professional-program requirements.

Pre-professional planning

Luther advises students preparing for fields such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, law and veterinary medicine.

Boundary: Students take U of R courses before applying to a professional program at another institution; Luther does not award those professional credentials.

Bundle seat planning

Crime and Justice is capped at 30 and English and Science at 36. Luther fills them first-come after admission and registration opens, so neither a U of R offer nor Luther selection guarantees a bundle.

Residence and Campus Fit

Luther-owned university residence

Student Village has current rates, but no Fall 2027 guarantee

U of R students start in the central housing portal and select Luther Student Village; Luther then owns the offer and contract. The live fees are useful planning evidence, but the page is not cycle-labelled and says prices may change.

Residence owner

Luther Student Village

Luther operates this university-campus residence; it is distinct from U of R Housing Services inventory and Luther College High School.

Current room-only option

$2,360 per semester

The published rate pairs with a $1,500 prepaid meal-card payment that provides $1,650 of spending value.

10 meals per week

$5,230 per semester

Current room-and-meal option on the live Luther fee page.

14 meals per week

$5,610 per semester

Current room-and-meal option on the live Luther fee page.

19 meals per week

$5,910 per semester

Current room-and-meal option on the live Luther fee page.

Security deposit

$400

The deposit can be returned after move-out when the room has no damage or outstanding charges.

Application route

U of R Housing Services portal

U of R students select the Luther Student Village application and pay no application fee; Luther issues the offer.

Fall 2027 guarantee and rates

Pending

The live page says only limited Fall 2026 rooms remained and does not publish a Fall 2027 guarantee, deadline or cycle-labelled rates.

Fall 2027 remains unposted

Luther currently mentions limited Fall 2026 rooms. It has not posted a Fall 2027 application deadline, guaranteed-place rule or cycle-labelled room and meal prices. Recheck before paying a deposit.

Co-op, Research, and Career Outcomes

Work-integrated learning and support

Eligible Luther students use U of R co-op and internships

Central work experience belongs to the University of Regina. Luther selection does not guarantee eligibility or a placement; the exact faculty, major, academic record and U of R application process govern access.

U of R co-op and internships

Eligible Luther students can access the University of Regina’s central work-experience system in participating Arts, Science, La Cité and other programs.

Program eligibility

Co-op is not automatic for every Luther student; faculty, major, academic standing and application rules determine eligibility.

Current work-term fee

The Fall 2026 U of R schedules list $1,149 for a co-op work term. This is a U of R fee, not a Luther surcharge.

Computer Science example

Computer Science publishes its own co-op eligibility process through the U of R Career Centre, illustrating why students must check their exact major.

First-year bundles

Crime and Justice and English and Science provide cohort-based academic experience but are not paid co-op placements.

Pre-professional advising

Luther helps students plan prerequisite study for later professional applications; it does not guarantee admission to the outside professional school.

The two experiential layers

Luther’s bundles and pre-professional advising are college-level academic experiences. Paid co-op and internships are U of R systems. Neither layer guarantees a job or later professional-school seat.

Current published information

Luther students may access the U of R central co-op and internship system where their program is eligible; Luther does not operate a parallel universal co-op program.
