First-year residence guarantee and deadlines

York publishes four distinct Fall 2026 applicant groups. International students attending an Ontario high school use June 1, 2026 and keep the four-year guarantee; a single room is also guaranteed when their admission average is 90% or higher and they prefer single. Canadian students attending an Ontario high school use June 1, 2026 without the four-year guarantee, although the same 90% single-room provision applies. International and Canadian students attending an out-of-province or foreign high school use May 1, 2026 and receive the four-year guarantee. Every group must apply for housing and accept admission by the applicable deadline.
Fall 2027 housing guarantee dates are not yet published; treat June 1 and May 1 as the Fall 2026 rules, not 2027 deadlines. Four-year eligibility also requires annual re-application by May 1 and continuous Fall/Winter residence.
