York offers paid co-op in selected programs. But students do not enter one universal co-op stream from high school. The academic program can advertise a co-op option. The faculty controls the later application, credits, GPA (grade point average), courses, workshops, fees, and work sequence.

York co-op checklist
- 1.Confirm that the exact York degree is marked with a co-op option in the official program search.
- 2.Open the correct faculty's co-op page; LA&PS, Lassonde, Health, Science, and EUC do not share one rulebook.
- 3.Map required credits, core courses, GPA, workshops, application term, work sequence, and return-to-study requirement.
- 4.Budget the one-time enrolment fee and every faculty-specific work-term course charge.
- 5.Treat the York job board and advising as search support, not a placement guarantee.
