When do McGill offers come out for Fall 2027?
McGill estimates decisions for Ontario high school applicants from mid-February to the end of May for September 2027. Other school systems have different windows. These are published estimates, not guaranteed dates. Competitive programs can decide later. Music has its own calendar; the checked Music pages still label Fall 2026, so their 2027 timing isn't confirmed.

Reviewed against each row's official source. Recheck the source before you act, because dates and fees change.
Your school system determines McGill's decision window
McGill's main table explicitly covers September 2027. It groups applicants by the school system they attend, rather than assigning one university-wide offer month. An Ontario applicant and a US high school applicant can therefore have different published windows. Citizenship alone doesn't choose the right row. Start with where and what you're studying. A Canadian citizen at a US school shouldn't automatically use the row for a Canadian provincial high school just because their passport is Canadian.
Ontario's estimate is mid-February to the end of May. Other Canadian high schools outside Quebec and Ontario have a mid-January-to-mid-May estimate. The Quebec row covers CEGEP, French lycées and named high school routes. CEGEP is Quebec's pre-university college system. These distinctions matter when comparing a friend's result with your own file. A February offer from one school system doesn't establish that another system's review has finished or that your file has been refused.
The November windows on the table belong to September 2027 entry, but their month labels don't print calendar years. We retain the source's month wording and cycle heading rather than inventing an exact first day. The table is also expressly an estimate. McGill says space, complete documents and the chosen program affect timing. Keep that qualification beside the date. It would be inaccurate to present the end of a broad estimated period as a guaranteed personal offer deadline.
Arts, Science and other faculties use the shared table; Music doesn't
McGill lists the programs covered by its main estimated windows. They include Arts, Science, Engineering, Management, Architecture, Education and Nursing, among others. The table doesn't assign a fixed release day to each of those degrees. Your school-system row remains important, with the warning that competitive programs may be later. Don't assume an Arts result dates the Engineering result. The chosen program is one of the factors McGill names when explaining why decisions arrive at different times.
Music is a stated exception, along with professional faculties that run their own admissions process. For a Grade 12 music application, the department's calendar is the relevant next source. Its checked dates page says early-April rolling decisions, while the overview says April. Both still identify the opening as Fall 2026. These are latest-available references, not confirmed Fall 2027 Music dates. The exact 2027 window needs a departmental update; the planned recheck is November 1, 2026.
Some programs also need work beyond grades. The supporting-document page says certain Education language requirements must be met before a decision can be made. It lists other program-specific material too. Use the checklist for your degree instead of deciding that every application in a faculty is ready on the same day. Our McGill program hub and Music requirements guide explain those routes. This page keeps the release window and its source limits visible.

Ontario applicants have two self-report periods to manage
The Ontario requirements page says applicants are considered in two rounds. Its grade-reporting process has an optional first period and a mandatory second period. It says no admission refusals are made during the first period, and you aren't penalized for waiting until the second. That is current process guidance. It doesn't create an exact offer day. If you haven't heard in the earlier review, read what the later reporting step requires rather than treating the wait as a refusal.
An undecided file after the first period changes to 'Needs more information' under that guidance. You must then report updated grades in the second period. The phrase can therefore name a required next task, not a final unsuccessful result. Use the reporting form linked from your applicant checklist. The recurring dates printed for the periods have no year in the checked table, so this guide doesn't turn them into separately confirmed 2027 round days. Your current checklist remains important.
McGill doesn't ask for your OUAC number until it offers admission, according to its Ontario page. Grade sharing at other universities doesn't finish the McGill tasks. Use its own reporting form and upload steps. Keep the grade report you used. McGill later checks the marks against official grades. A large mismatch can change a decision. Report the mark you have, rather than one you expect. An early offer doesn't remove the need for a correct final record.

A published estimate still needs a complete file
McGill lists required documents in your applicant record and email. A program can fill before the document or grade-report deadline. The school says an incomplete file may then be cancelled. Don't assume the last listed date is the safest time to finish your work. Read requests when they arrive. Keep proof of each submission. A saved upload or draft grade entry may still need to be submitted. Check what the school record says is complete before simply waiting for an offer.
The main decision page also warns that highly competitive programs can decide later than the listed estimate. It doesn't publish a fixed extra waiting period for each one. If a period passes, look at your status and required material before drawing a conclusion. Ask a specific question if something is unclear: which record is missing, whether an uploaded document was received, or whether the file is ready for review. A guessed day from a discussion board won't answer those questions.
Use the McGill admissions guide for required courses and document rules. The Canadian application deadlines guide owns submission dates across schools. Here, the useful distinction is between a deadline you must meet and a window McGill estimates for its own review. Completing the former doesn't guarantee a place or force the latter to happen on a particular day. Keep proof of your own tasks so you can resolve a real file issue promptly.

Past cut-offs and a later review date aren't an offer prediction
McGill's terminology guide defines a previous year's cut-off as the lowest grades admitted in that earlier year. It warns that the figure can change. That value doesn't reveal when your current application will be reviewed, and it isn't a guaranteed new-cycle threshold. This matters when a friend links an old range while you wait. Keep the year on the figure and the estimated window on a separate line. They describe different parts of the admissions process.
A minimum requirement also isn't a guarantee of an offer. The glossary says admission depends on available places. The decision-date page names academic merit and space as key factors. Neither source supports calculating your personal chance from a release month. It also doesn't support calling the timing of a portal change a ranking signal. Read the outcome when McGill posts it. Before then, focus on your actual requirements and current file status rather than trying to turn a past cut-off into a timetable.
A transfer applicant must be equally careful about borrowing the Grade 12 window. McGill's dated table puts many Canadian post-secondary and mature decisions between early May and mid-July. Other transfer routes use a different span. Those later windows aren't a general extension for every Ontario high school applicant. Match your education history and degree before choosing a row. The table's category labels are part of the fact; removing them makes the date easier to quote but much less useful for planning.

Read McGill's own offer deadline while other decisions are pending
McGill's accepting-offer page tells you to respond by the date in your letter. That isn't Ontario's common OUAC response rule. You find the letter and response link in the McGill Applicant Portal. Read the degree, conditions and confirmation date together. A broad end-of-May decision estimate doesn't extend an offer already issued with a personal deadline. If you're waiting on another university, compare that real expiry date with the choices you currently hold.
McGill says accepting one of its offers doesn't affect review of its other program choices. If a later McGill offer becomes your preferred choice, its page explains a request through the portal's Get Help form. Follow that process rather than assuming you can hold two confirmations in the same way as two pending applications. The McGill financial-aid guide and residence guide cover the budget and housing work that can follow a decision.
Sources were fetched October 13, 2026. The September 2027 main decision estimates are confirmed as published estimates. The Music pages' retained Fall 2026 dates and the yearless Ontario reporting-period dates remain clearly labelled. Exact new-cycle faculty release days haven't been supplied where the school gives only a window. Recheck November 1, 2026 for departmental updates. A new official calendar can change this answer; rumours about a recurring weekday can't establish the schedule for your own application.
