MUN Meal Plans: Gushue Hall, Prices and FLEX Dollars

At Memorial University (MUN), a meal plan is required if you live in Paton College or Macpherson College, and it's already in your residence fee. Both plans are unlimited at R. Gushue Hall, the dining hall, and cost $3,195 for fall 2026 and $3,315 for winter 2027. The 7-day plan adds $200 in FLEX dollars a semester and the 5-day plan adds $300.

The two plans

MUN suggests the 5-day plan if you go home on weekends. FLEX dollars work at the campus cafés run by Aramark.

Who needs a plan

  • Paton College and Macpherson College residents: required, and included in the residence fee.
  • Burton's Pond Apartments residents: optional; apartments have their own kitchens.
  • Any Memorial student can buy a meal plan.

Gushue Hall

R. Gushue Hall is joined to the residences by tunnels and walkways. With a plan you can come in for breakfast, lunch and dinner, or just a snack or coffee. Menus include halal, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options plus theme meals, and the daily menu is posted online.

Boxed lunches and dietary needs

  • Boxed lunches are for students who can't make regular meal times, such as residents attending the Marine Institute or the Centre for Nursing Studies, or on work terms. Order by 12 p.m. the day before.
  • You can book an appointment with an on-site dietitian.
  • For special dietary needs, contact Lighthouse Hospitality, Memorial's food service provider on the St. John's campus.
