Concordia University application deadlines for Fall 2027

Concordia's Film Production and Film Animation close March 1, 2027. That's also the date for new Studio Arts applications. For other fall programs, plan around March 1. US and international applicants should plan for February 1. Apply directly to Concordia. Keep extra work, housing and offer replies on separate reminders.

Choose your background before you choose a date

This guide covers Concordia in Montreal. Start with your school history. You can enter from Quebec CEGEP or high school. Prior college or university study has its own route. The form also has routes for mature entry and current or former Concordia students. CEGEP is Quebec's college system. A current Concordia degree transfer isn't the same as a new application from another university. Studio Arts makes that difference matter. Its internal transfer date comes a month before its new-applicant date.

Apply directly to Concordia even if you're also using OUAC. That's the Ontario Universities' Application Centre. An OUAC number can help send your Ontario school records. It doesn't submit your Concordia choice. Put your preferred subject first on Concordia's form. The school allows up to three choices. It reviews them in order. Once it admits you to one, it cancels the remaining choices. Use the Concordia hub to compare the wider school options before you rank them.

Keep the year beside the March and February rules

The central fall deadline is March 1. It tells US and international applicants to apply no later than February 1. Those lines don't print a year. They're useful planning targets, but aren't a newly dated 2027 general calendar. Nor does the page give a common clock time or zone. The availability page has another issue. Its September 2027 section still captions the faculty tables Fall 2026. Check the term beside your actual choice before paying. The exact general opening day is still unconfirmed here. The October 1, 2026 opening on that page belongs to Indigenous Bridging. Our Canadian opening guide keeps the separate opening question together.

Get the right records into the right place

CEGEP applicants should include their permanent code so Concordia can obtain their records. Ontario fall applicants can include a valid current-year OUAC number. Without it, upload the requested school records. Other Canadian and US applicants upload past grades and current courses. International applicants also need records from previous schools. Transfer applicants must include post-secondary study as well as earlier records. Mature entry has extra tasks, including a resumé, proof of age and letter of intent. Your background changes the file, even when the central application date is the same.

Your Student Centre To Do list shows what Admissions still needs. It can take up to ten working days to update after review. Fine Arts portfolios don't appear in its received-document list. Check your department's system too. English scores have a relative deadline: normally three weeks after the request. If you're awaiting a test, upload the planned date and follow the school's timing rule. The exact general Fall 2027 document cutoff remains unconfirmed. Official final records usually come from the issuing school after you finish, before classes begin. Follow the conditions in your own offer.

Film and Studio Arts have dated 2027 portfolio rules

Film Production and Film Animation both confirm March 1, 2027. You apply to Concordia first, then send your portfolio and letter through SlideRoom. Applying to both? Each needs its own portfolio and letter. Their Fall 2027 portals are due to open in October. The page gives no exact opening day or explicit opening year. Don't treat that month as a closing date. Neither program takes winter entrants. The Film Production requirements guide explains the degree. Keep this calendar beside its material checklist.

Studio Arts confirms March 1, 2027 for new applicants and degree transfers. Internal transfers and double majors have February 1, 2027 instead. You need the portfolio and letter for that route. Fine Arts doesn't share portfolios between program choices. A Studio Art submission won't automatically reach Photography. Use each department's correct link and keep its receipt. The wider Fine Arts instructions require a Concordia ID before these submissions. Starting the main application in good time leaves room to finish that second step.

An encouraged audition date isn't the final deadline

Acting for the Theatre strongly encourages February 1 materials, then says it accepts them until March 1. Those date lines omit a year beneath a Fall 2027 heading. Its cross-faculty request date does explicitly say March 1, 2027. Keep these scopes separate. The page lists March 20 or 21 callbacks and other program sessions. Yet its letter question asks about March 21 or 22 interviews. Confirm your own invitation before arranging travel. A date in a letter question doesn't settle every program's appointment.

Music also needs its own package. Music majors can submit a video audition or creative portfolio. They can also send both, based on their practice. Jazz requires a video audition and placement tests. Electroacoustic Studies needs a portfolio and its named tests. This is more detailed than the central list's broad audition summary. We haven't confirmed a dated Fall 2027 package cutoff. The yearless March 15 cross-faculty request isn't a universal deadline. Use the Concordia Music guide to identify your route. Then ask the department about its current date.

Journalism and other extra forms need a second check

Journalism has two stages. Its main-form instructions say March 1 inside Canada and February 1 outside Canada. The dossier uses March 1 with February 1 for international applicants. These dates are yearless. Ask the department which group applies if your citizenship and school location differ. The English letter is required. A portfolio is optional, so lacking published clips doesn't remove your chance to apply. Confirm the new dossier cycle with Journalism before relying on a date.

Communication Studies and Communication and Cultural Studies require an application essay. Early Childhood and Elementary Education needs extra forms, references and an interview. Teaching English as a Second Language also lists forms, references and an interview. The central list doesn't give these tasks a dated Fall 2027 calendar. Ask the named department for the current submission route and deadline. Your admission form doesn't complete an essay or arrange an interview for you. Keep each extra task beside its program name.

Separate automatic awards from forms you must send

Most entrance scholarship choices are automatic during admission review. They serve eligible first-time bachelor's entrants; an offer alone doesn't guarantee an award. Selection runs through winter and spring without a fixed new-cycle decision day here. Fine Arts awards can depend on the portfolio where one is required. Gina Cody lists automatic entrance consideration too. But its Miriam Sobel Award asks for a statement about hardship and may require supporting records. No dated Fall 2027 statement deadline is confirmed here. Read the named award rather than assuming every task is automatic.

Application-based Concordia awards have a source conflict. The scholarships page says forms open in August without a year. The funding overview says they'll reopen in October 2026. We can't turn either line into a confirmed Fall 2027 closing date. Recheck November 1 and ask Financial Aid which competition the form covers. The Concordia financial-aid section explains the types of support. For need-based entrance bursaries, the last dated window is March 2 to April 17, 2026. It serves Winter or Fall 2026 entrants. The instruction to select Aid Year 2027 still sits in that older cycle. It doesn't confirm next fall's window.

Grey Nuns closure changes the housing question

Grey Nuns won't be available for 2027-28. That's a confirmed building notice. Concordia also lists Hingston Hall and Jesuit Residence at Loyola. CAMPUS1 MTL is an approved alternative, but runs independently. Concordia Residence Life doesn't manage it, and your lease is with CAMPUS1. None of this proves a replacement room guarantee for next fall. Use the Concordia residence comparison to understand the options, then ask Housing which buildings and rules apply to the new cycle.

The application page still gives March 1, May 1 and June 30, 2026 openings for different groups. Its guarantee uses a yearless March 1 admission application and June 1 age test. That test is 18 or younger outside Quebec, or 19 or younger in Quebec. Those aren't confirmed 2027-28 terms. The latest listed application fee is $100 and room confirmation fee $1,500. New-cycle amounts remain unconfirmed too. Confirmation and lease deadlines come with the room offer. Ask about both before paying. Don't assume that accepting admission completes housing, or that an old guarantee lets you choose any room.

Your offer has the reply date you need

Concordia puts a confirmation date in your admission letter. You must accept and pay the deposit by that date. The current admitted-student guide lists a $100 deposit, credited towards tuition. That amount has no new-cycle date here. Fine Arts adds a crucial step: register for courses by your offer's deadline. Missing registration cancels the offer even if you meant to attend. We haven't confirmed one shared Fall 2027 reply day or offer-release day. File completeness affects decision timing, and extra-material committees review after the official deadline. Check your email and Student Centre while you wait.

Late review depends on a place being open

Concordia considers late applications when places remain. It also warns that programs can close without notice after the official deadline. An open program list isn't a promise of late admission. Ask about your exact program before sending a late form or portfolio. Internal degree transfers have their own fall-only late rule. We don't treat it as an extension for every department. Compare the Canadian university deadlines if you're weighing other choices. A later date elsewhere won't reopen a Concordia program that has closed.

What to do this week

Write down your entry route and exact program name. Check the dated portfolio rules before setting your main reminder. For Engineering or Computer Science, read the Engineering guide or Computer Science guide for course requirements. Ask the department about any missing extra-material date. Keep November 1, 2026 for the source recheck, especially housing and award forms.

  • Select the correct Fall 2027 term and rank your choices.
  • Save separate receipts for the main form and each departmental submission.
  • Read your offer's confirmation and registration instructions when it arrives.
  • Ask Housing about the new cycle before relying on a guarantee or paying.
