Concordia Course Registration: Student Hub and Moodle
At Concordia, you confirm your offer in your Student Centre and pay a $100 non-refundable deposit that later goes toward tuition. You then register for courses through the Student Hub: open My CU Account, choose the Academic tab, then Courses, and use the class schedule builder. You must register for the term you were admitted to, or your admission is cancelled. Once classes start, your course materials and assignments are on Moodle.

Confirm your offer
- In your Student Centre, under Applications, choose Status, then Accept or Decline Offer.
- Pay the $100 admission confirmation deposit. It's non-refundable but counts toward tuition once you register. Turn off your pop-up blocker so the payment screen opens.
- Read your offer letter for conditions, exemptions, deficiencies and transfer credits. A deficiency is a required course you still need to take, so take it early.
- International students should start their immigration documents now.
Register for courses
Your faculty emails advising and registration instructions after you confirm. Check your program in the Undergraduate Calendar, which is the definitive list of required courses. Some faculties ask you to attend an advising session or talk to an advisor first, and Fine Arts students must register by the date in their offer letter or lose their place.
- Log in to the Student Hub, open My CU Account, select the Academic tab and click Courses.
- Use the class schedule builder to try weekly timetables, including labs and tutorials.
- Register early: the sooner you register, the more sections you'll have to choose from.
- If a course is full, join the waitlist and set up a swap so you drop another course automatically if you get in.
- If you register after the first day of class, you pay a late registration fee.
DNE and DISC deadlines
Simply stopping going to class isn't dropping it: you'd get a failing grade. International students and students on government aid must stay full time.
| Deadline | What it means |
|---|---|
| DNE (Did Not Enter) | Drop a course without paying for it and without any record. Generally after the first two weeks of fall and winter classes. If you DNE every course, your offer becomes invalid. |
| DISC (Discontinued) | Drop after DNE but before this date. No effect on your GPA, but a DISC notation appears and you still pay tuition. |
Moodle, email and apps
- Moodle is where professors post course outlines and materials and where you submit work. Courses may not appear until the first day of each class.
- After you register, IT services emails your personal address within 24 to 48 hours to set up multi-factor authentication and your Concordia email. After that, all university email goes to your Concordia inbox.
- The Concordia app shows your courses, grades and the shuttle bus schedule.
Paying tuition
Fall tuition is due September 1, with a final payment deadline of September 30. Winter tuition is due January 1 (final deadline January 31). Your fee breakdown, including student health insurance and fee levies, is in your Student Centre.
