Aerospace Engineering
Carleton became the first university in Canada to offer a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering, in 1988, and describes it as the largest program of its kind in the country. Students pick one of four streams after first year: aerodynamics, propulsion and vehicle performance; structures, systems and vehicle design; aerospace electronics and systems; or space systems design.

Journalism
Carleton calls its Bachelor of Journalism the oldest and best-known journalism program in the country. Students pursue a second major outside Journalism, with published combinations including Journalism and Humanities and a Health Sciences concentration.
