Clubs and societies
Carleton's current admissions page says there are more than 170 active clubs and societies. CUSA manages a live club directory, while faculty societies and other student organizations can use separate channels, so students should verify the specific group rather than relying only on a total.
Recreation
Carleton Athletics runs fitness, aquatics, intramurals, adult leagues, competitive clubs, and varsity sport. Intramural registration, team formats, schedules, and fees change by term and are published through the current recreation system.
First-year transition
The Student Experience Office runs orientation and peer transition programs. First Year Connections pairs new students with trained upper-year mentors, while international students can use the free 2026–2027 I-Start course and Global Ravens Chats.

Ravens recreation, intramurals, leagues, and varsity sport
Carleton Athletics offers fitness and aquatics facilities, intramurals, adult leagues, competitive clubs, and varsity sport. The live intramural directory currently includes basketball, dodgeball, flag football, ice hockey, soccer, ultimate, and volleyball, but the available term, division, price, and team format can change.

2026–2027
2026–2027 U-Pass and parking-waiver rules
The published U-Pass terms cover Fall 2026/Winter 2027, with the fee set by the City of Ottawa through its annual budget review. Carleton says student parking permits are available only to students with an approved U-Pass waiver, which is limited to students living outside the defined transit areas, so commuters should not assume parking is available.
