- Ontario high school applicants need an OSSD (your Ontario high school diploma), six Grade 12 U/M courses (university or university/college prep), a 70% average, and 60% in ENG4U.
- Apply through OUAC (the Ontario Universities' Application Centre, Ontario's university application site) for Peterborough and Durham GTA. Trent-only international applicants can use the direct application.
- Nursing applications open September 17, 2026. Group A can close no earlier than January 15, 2027, and Ontario high school responses are due June 1, 2027.
- Nursing needs 75% overall and 70% in ENG4U, SBI4U, SCH4U, and one 4U Math. The average uses those four plus your next two best U/M courses.
- General Fall 2027 undergraduate dates are not yet published. The central page still lists 2026 award, housing, and deposit dates.

Fall 2027 admissions planning
Trent University admission requirements for Ontario students
Trent's university-wide eligibility floor is an OSSD (your Ontario high school diploma). You also need six Grade 12 4U or 4M courses (Grade 12 university (U) or university/college (M) preparation courses). You need a 70% final average. You also need at least 60% in ENG4U. That simple baseline does not cover the real selection picture. Nursing, forensics, Biomedical Science, Software Engineering, and direct-entry co-op streams add course-level floors or higher averages.

A genuine Fall 2027 update
Read each admission date with its own program scope
The Trent/Fleming School of Nursing now confirms September 17, 2026 for applications to open, January 15, 2027 as the earliest Group A close, June 1, 2027 for Ontario high-school responses, and August 13, 2027 for final conditions. Those are Nursing dates. Trent's central page now has some 2027 planning entries, but its general admission rounds still name only months. The focused October 18, 2026 check doesn't confirm an exact Fall 2027 round day. The housing, fee and award sections keep their own source reviews and cycle labels.

Application checklist
- 1.Choose the exact program, campus, credential, and co-op stream before mapping Grade 12 courses.
- 2.Apply through OUAC if you are an Ontario student; international students applying only to Trent can use Trent's direct route.
- 3.Activate myTrent and use its Required Documents icon rather than assuming one transcript list fits every curriculum.
- 4.Track the program application, document, scholarship, residence, deposit, and offer-response dates as separate checkpoints.
- 5.Keep every prerequisite above its course-level floor through final grades; conditional admission is checked again.

The central admissions page now includes some dated 2027 planning entries. Its Ontario offer-round labels still give months without a year or exact release day, so exact Fall 2027 general round dates remain unconfirmed. Nursing uses its own dated calendar.

The Trent/Fleming School of Nursing has published real Fall 2027 dates. Applications open September 17, 2026. The Group A application can close no earlier than January 15, 2027. Ontario high-school applicants respond by June 1, 2027. Conditional-offer requirements are due August 13, 2027.
These dates belong to Collaborative and Compressed Nursing. Do not transfer them to other Trent programs.

Ontario high-school offer rounds

Trent lists offer rounds for September entry programs other than Nursing and the Bachelor of Education. The rounds are in early December, early February, mid-March, and early May. A July review of final grades follows. Other qualified applicants receive rolling decisions once documents arrive.
Focused October 18, 2026 check: these round labels give no year even though other central-page sections contain 2027 dates. They don't promise an exact Fall 2027 release day.

Most co-op rows on Trent's Ontario table publish an 80% overall admission average. Business requires one 4U Math. Computer Science co-op is available only with the B.Sc. Conservation Biology needs an 80% combined average across English, Biology, Chemistry, and Advanced Functions or Calculus. Software Engineering is an 80% co-op route.

Trent has a standing international schedule. Fall applications open September 16. You apply through OUAC and the direct application. The general deadline is June 15. Winter opens June 3 for direct applications. Winter also opens September 16 through OUAC. The Winter deadline is November 1. Summer opens September 16. The Summer deadline is February 1. Trent advises fall applicants to apply by February 1. This applies where programs close earlier.

Trent publishes these minimums. IELTS is 6.5, with no band below 6.0. Duolingo is 115 for undergraduate admission. CAEL is 60. Cambridge is 176, with no sub-score below 169. PTE Academic is 59. Oxford ELLT is 7, with no band below 6. LANGUAGECERT Academic is 70–74, with no score below 65. From 2026 onward, TOEFL is 4.5 overall on the new scale. You need at least 4.0 in writing.
