Supported independent job-search model
Current program · Published for this period
Lakehead states that all co-op students are responsible for finding their own positions, with assistance from the Co-op Office. Students complete a mandatory, non-credit, asynchronous Co-op Preparation Course covering resumes, skill identification, and co-op rights and obligations, and each four-month work term requires a work-term report and an employer evaluation plus monitoring check-ins.
Lakehead does not guarantee a co-op placement—do not present co-op availability as a job promise.
