Lakehead Meal Plan: Dining Hall Hours and Declining Balance
If you live in a Lakehead residence hall in Thunder Bay, a meal plan is required and included in your residence fee. It gives you unlimited entry to the Residence Dining Hall during open hours, plus an $800 declining balance for Aramark food outlets on campus. Unused meals and declining balance aren't refunded and don't carry into the next academic year.

What the plan includes
The plan's cost is built into the residence hall rate. For 2026-27, a double room with the meal plan costs $11,588.16 for the 8-month contract.
- All Access Dining: unlimited entry to the Residence Dining Hall during regular hours.
- $800 declining balance on your student ID card. It works like a debit card anywhere on campus where Aramark runs the food service.
- Apartment and townhouse residents can buy a meal plan, but it's optional.
