MyHumber, Blackboard and the Applicant Portal
Humber's MyHumber hub links to MyHumber Login, Blackboard Login and your application tracker. You sign in to MyHumber, Blackboard and the Library with the same Humber username, such as n01234567@humber.ca.
Use MyHumber for fees, registration, your schedule, academic progress, transcripts and e-forms. Blackboard is the separate login for your courses. New international students also use the Applicant Portal to upload a study permit before they can register.
Pay first, then register
Every term, you pay a non-refundable tuition deposit, then pay or arrange the rest of your fees before you can register. OSAP or an expected scholarship can't cover the deposit. The deposit doesn't show as a charge in MyHumber, so you enter the amount yourself when you pay.
Humber sets the deposit at $250 per term for domestic students and $2,000 per term for international students. For eligible international students, $500 of that $2,000 is refundable if you withdraw before the tenth day of classes. The most common registration hold is unpaid fees. New international students also carry a study permit hold until they upload a valid document.
Block or course-based registration
Your program uses one of two systems. Humber's registration chart tells you which, and when your window opens. The chart appears at least two weeks before registration starts. Trying to register early gives a Time Ticket error.
In block registration, you pick one primary block that holds your core courses, then add any extra block for English, math or electives. In course-based registration, you build your own timetable. You can add courses by CRN, by search, or from a Plan Ahead plan you build two weeks before registration week. Check that each course shows Registered status.
Register after your program's scheduled date and Humber charges a $150 late fee. Once you're registered, the Schedule Details tab in MyHumber shows the day, time, campus, building and room for each class.

Dropping a course or withdrawing
Drop or withdraw from a course in MyHumber; block and course-based students follow different how-to guides. Skipping class, or telling only your professor or program co-ordinator, doesn't count as a withdrawal. You'll still owe fees for any course you didn't drop before the refund deadline.
If you get OSAP or study on a permit, changing your course load can affect your funding or status. Humber asks OSAP students to check course-load rules and international students to talk to the International Centre first.
