Humber Polytechnic at a glance
Humber has North, Lakeshore, and Humber Downtown locations. Program delivery and services vary by campus and credential.
Match the program to a campus
Humber’s current campus directory lists North, Lakeshore and the International Graduate School at 59 Hayden Street. Humber’s 2024–25 annual report says the downtown campus was repositioned as Humber Downtown in September 2024 and expanded from 12 to more than 25 offerings across all faculties. Because Humber pages use both names, confirm the campus and delivery details on the live program page.
Start with the program you want to study, then compare its campus, credential, start date and delivery format. Admission requirements, fees, work experience and transfer options vary by program. Check where your classes and services are based before choosing accommodation.
Checked
These are campus addresses, not every teaching or service location. For example, Lakeshore career services lists 2 Colonel Samuel Smith Park Drive. Check the building on your appointment or timetable.
| Campus | Published address |
|---|---|
| North | 205 Humber College Blvd., Toronto |
| Lakeshore | 3199 Lake Shore Blvd. West, Toronto |
| Humber Downtown / International Graduate School | 59 Hayden Street, Toronto |

Decision checklist
- Confirm credential, campus, delivery, and intake on the live program page.
- Keep Humber Downtown, North, and Lakeshore services and housing claims separate.
- Treat institutional positioning as context, not a quality or employment metric.
How Humber applications work
Domestic applicants use OntarioColleges.ca, while requirements, ranking, additional tests, documents, and dates remain program-specific.
Choose the applicant route and requirements
Humber directs domestic applicants to OntarioColleges.ca and identifies February 1 as the equal-consideration date; later applications depend on space. Humber also says programs are competitive, the best-qualified applicants receive first offers, and meeting a minimum does not guarantee acceptance. International applicants require a separate Humber route and document review, so the domestic deadline should not be applied to them.
For Humber degrees, the general secondary-school route requires an OSSD or equivalent, six Grade 12 U/M courses including Grade 12 U English, and a minimum 65% admission average.
For Information Systems Engineering (IS411), those six courses consist of ENG4U, SPH4U, MCV4U, either MHF4U or MDM4U, and two additional Grade 12 U/M courses. The 2026–27 viewbook requires a final grade of at least 65% in SPH4U, MCV4U, and the selected MHF4U or MDM4U course. Meeting the minimum does not guarantee admission. The viewbook lists IS411 as an eight-semester North Campus degree; check the live program page for the available intake and applicant route.

- Use the current applicant instructions and portal to track requirements and decisions.
Programs and transfer options
Humber's program finder and pathway tools help you compare exact programs. WIL and transfer conditions differ across the institution. They cannot be generalized.
Compare credentials and current cohorts
Choose a credential and program before you compare transfer options. Humber offers pathways into its programs. These include routes for students with previous college study. A pathway has its own admission requirements. It does not automatically grant a fixed amount of transfer credit.
For current breadth, Medical Laboratory Assistant (ML111) is a three-semester Ontario College Certificate at North. When checked, January 2027 was shown open for domestic and international applicants. Early Childhood Education (07911) is a four-semester diploma at North. Its January 2027 domestic and international offerings were open. Its May 2027 international offering was marked opening soon. These are dated applicant-category snapshots, not admission guarantees.
Check the nursing pathway conditions
One example is the Nursing – RPN to BScN Bridging degree (NR4B1). Humber’s 2026–27 viewbook requires an Ontario Practical Nursing diploma completed within the last five years and a cumulative program GPA of at least 75%. It also requires successful REx-PN completion and registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Practical Nursing diploma courses cannot have been repeated unless a course was failed. Ask admissions to confirm the intake and entry point for your record.

Decision checklist
- Capture sending and receiving program names, GPA, recency, credit, exclusions, and availability for pathways.
- Separate mandatory co-op, optional co-op, internship, field placement, and clinical placement.
- Do not infer transfer credit or work-permit eligibility from a program title.
Tuition, deposits, scholarships, and aid
Degree entrance scholarships range from $1,500 to $4,000 for graduating high-school students. The $1,500 award is one-time; higher awards have renewal conditions. Price your exact program, credential, student category and term, then add compulsory fees, supplies and housing.
Build the program budget
Get a fee quote for your exact program, intake and applicant category. Include tuition, compulsory fees, books, supplies, transport and accommodation in your budget. Humber’s payment guidance covers payment arrangements and funding routes; out-of-province students should also check their home province or territory’s aid rules.
Check award eligibility and renewal
Humber automatically awards degree entrance scholarships to graduating high-school students based on their academic average; no separate application is required. The table shows the published bands. Renewal of the higher awards requires an average of at least 80%; confirm all enrolment and renewal conditions with Humber. Bursaries, OSAP and out-of-province aid have separate eligibility and timing rules.

- Get the current term quote for the exact program and student category.
- Separate tuition, ancillary fees, supplies, insurance, deposits, residence, and dining.
- Check award renewal, aid eligibility, deadlines, and payment arrangements before relying on funding.
Student support and MyHumber
Humber has wellness, accessibility, learning, and portal services. Each service has its own eligibility rules and campus rules. Check these rules after you are admitted.
Use support and student systems
The Student Wellness and Accessibility Centre provides confidential health and counselling services. Accessible Learning Services coordinates academic accommodations. Humber says mental-health services are free to enrolled students. Humber says appointments require the student to be physically in Ontario. These are service-access facts. They are not a claim about wait times, satisfaction, or emergency coverage.
The MyHumber hub links to MyHumber Login, Blackboard and the Applicant Portal. Its how-to guides cover course registration, student accounts, academic progress, services, records and transfer services. Use the relevant guide when adding or dropping a course, checking fees or requesting a record. Follow the current registration instructions and deadlines for your program.
Choose campus recreation and participation
Recreation differs by campus. Lakeshore publishes drop-in sports, open gym, extramurals and special events. Schedules and registration change by semester. The current page says open gym can include students, staff, faculty and community members. Check the activity's own access rule. Do not assume one universal student entitlement.
IGNITE's Summer 2026 clubs handbook limits club membership to Humber Polytechnic and University of Guelph-Humber students. It requires at least five members with two executives. It prohibits charging students a membership fee. It says club activity resumes September 8, 2026 for the 2026–27 academic year. Use the current IGNITE listing because ratification and contacts can change.

Decision checklist
- Ask Accessible Learning Services about documentation and accommodation lead times.
- Confirm whether a service is available at North, Lakeshore, IGS, or virtually.
- Use MyHumber’s current menu labels for missing requirements, fees, registration, grades, and transcripts.
- Check the current campus schedule before attending recreation.
- Use IGNITE's current ratified-club listing before joining or starting a club.
Career Connect and work experience
Career Connect gives job and WIL support. The relevant faculty or program owns the placement rules and who is eligible.
Use Career Connect without assuming placement
Career Connect helps students and recent graduates find job postings. It also helps them find work-experience postings. You can prepare applications, receive alerts and find workshops or employer events. Your faculty or program manages placement requirements. Ask its placement team about eligibility, timing and the support available. Ask when you search for a position.
Verify the IS411 mandatory paid co-op boundary
Here is a current program-specific example. Humber FAST's October 2025 employer guidelines classify the Bachelor of Engineering in Information Systems Engineering as mandatory co-op. The guidelines say mandatory co-op must be paid by the employer through payroll. They do not accept unpaid placements. This evidence establishes the program's co-op type and compensation boundary. It does not promise that a student will secure a position.
For FAST work experience, the student is responsible for finding a position. Advisers provide support and job leads rather than assigning placements. Before work starts, the student submits an Experience Proposal for approval. The office reviews the duties and employment terms. It notifies the student and employer after approval. Paid employment alone does not establish an approved academic placement.
The public employer guidelines give a general range of four, eight or twelve months depending on the program. They do not establish IS411's exact sequence. Confirm current work-term hours, academic eligibility, fees and international-student requirements with the placement team. The work-integrated learning office is in North Campus room NX302. Its contact details appear in the linked guidelines.
Confirm another program's WIL type
Humber's program pages describe several forms of work-integrated learning. These include field experience, practicum and co-op. The general descriptions do not establish which form is required. They do not say which form is required for your program or cohort. Ask the program team about mandatory versus optional participation. Ask about selection, timing, fees and responsibility for finding a position. Do this before planning your course sequence.
Decision checklist
- Confirm whether WIL is mandatory, optional, paid or unpaid, and which terms are available.
- Ask who finds the placement, what eligibility and fees apply, and what happens if no position is secured.
- Keep Career Connect support separate from an employment result.
- For IS411, treat mandatory paid co-op as confirmed, then ask the placement team for the current sequence, eligibility and international-student requirements.
