Humber Dining Plans: Residence Plans, Refunds and Where to Eat

Every Humber resident must buy a dining plan. There are no exemptions. The plan works like a prepaid balance, and Humber says no plan is guaranteed to last the whole year.

Compare the four residence plans

The Basic, Standard and Ultimate plans split into two accounts. The Main Meal Account buys meals tax-free. A $200 General Account covers taxable items like pop, candy and chips. The Hybrid plan has one fully taxable account and is non-refundable.

Humber pitches the Ultimate plan at students who eat on campus often, and the Basic plan at students who leave residence on weekends. Even so, Humber says you may need to buy or cook extra food on any plan.

Plan (2026-27 price)Main Meal Account (tax-free)General or taxable account
Hybrid ($2,850)None$2,850, all purchases taxed

Standard ($4,000)$3,800$200
Ultimate ($4,600)$4,400$200

How the balance works

Your full plan loads on arrival. It isn't split by semester, so budget it yourself. You pay by showing your residence card or the virtual ONECard in the Avro app at any Humber food outlet, and at select vending machines.

Check your balance at mymealplan.humber.ca, on a receipt, or at the till. You can add money online by debit, Visa or Mastercard, and parents can add funds without seeing your transactions. Tell Residence about allergies or medical diet needs on your residence application.

Refunds if you leave residence

You request a dining refund through the Residence Withdrawal Form after you move out. Early withdrawals are prorated: $103.22 a week from the Main Meal Account is kept (or what you've spent, if higher), and the first $3,200 of any Main Meal Account is never refunded. Hybrid plans are prorated at $91.94 a week. Withdrawals in the agreement's last 30 days aren't prorated.

Unused General Account money rolls over to the next year but isn't refundable. Unused Hybrid money is lost when the agreement ends. You need at least $75 left to qualify for a refund, minus a $50 administration fee. Refunds post to MyHumber within eight weeks.

Residence dining halls

Each campus has a residence dining location. Hours below took effect September 8, 2026 and can change during reading weeks and summer. Humber lists more than 20 food locations across its campuses, including allergen-friendly, vegan, vegetarian and halal options.

Commuter plans for students off campus

If you don't live in residence, you can buy a reloadable commuter plan. Deposit $500 or more at the start and your meals are tax-exempt; a smaller first deposit becomes a taxable food account. Commuter plans are non-refundable, and the balance expires at the end of each semester.
