Nipissing University Acceptance Rate: What Official Data Shows
As of October 2026, Nipissing University asks for a 70% minimum average in every program except History with an Orientation to a Master of Arts in History, which needs 80%. Nipissing also spells out what happens if your marks land below your program's bar. It doesn't publish application or offer counts, so there's no acceptance rate. Here's what it does publish.

Nipissing's minimum average
Nipissing's minimum overall average is 70% for all programs. The one exception is History with an Orientation to a Master of Arts in History, which needs 80%. Nursing is a competitive program, so the average needed for an offer can be higher than the minimum.

What happens if your marks miss the bar
Every Nipissing offer is conditional until you finish your courses and your diploma by June 30. Your offer includes a chart of the averages and prerequisites you need.

Nipissing's deadline to accept is June 1, and you need to accept by then to stay eligible for guaranteed residence and entrance scholarships. You also need a full-time offer by the end of May for the residence guarantee.

Why there's no Nipissing acceptance rate
An acceptance rate is offers divided by applicants, for the same group and year. Nipissing doesn't publish either count, so there's no official rate to report and we don't estimate one.
Nipissing also reserves spaces in its undergraduate programs for students from groups including Indigenous, Franco-Ontarian, northern and rural applicants, and accepts an optional form about extenuating circumstances if your average falls below a program threshold.
