  • Fall 2027 full-time applications close April 1, 2027. Documents are due April 9, 2027.

Nipissing University Ontario requirements and Fall 2027 deadlines

The 70% minimum is an eligibility floor. Match the exact degree before choosing Grade 12 courses: Nursing, Computer Science, Data Science, Physical and Health Education, Social Work, and Concurrent Education all add prerequisites or later progression decisions.

Bachelor of Science in NursingMinimum 70%, ENG4U, SBI4U, SCH4U, and three additional 4U/M courses; one Mathematics is recommended. Nursing is highly competitive and the actual admitted average may be higher.
Social WorkMinimum 70%, ENG4U with at least 70%, and five additional 4U/M courses. Students apply during Year 2 for the professional Years 3 and 4; early admission does not guarantee professional-year entry.
Concurrent EducationMinimum 70% in the six-course pattern for the chosen honours degree, ENG4U with at least 70%, and a 3U, 3M, or 4U Mathematics with at least 60%.

Fall 2027 full-time application

April 1, 2027

Nipissing's published deadline calendar already covers Fall 2027: full-time September-start applications close April 1, 2027 with documents due April 9, 2027, and part-time applications close August 4, 2027. Late applications are considered if room remains, no later than July 31 for the Fall intake.

Equal consideration: Nursing, RPN Bridging, BPHE, OMAH

February 17, 2027

These highly competitive programs share a February 17, 2027 equal-consideration deadline with documents due February 26, 2027. Nipissing states they typically have more qualified applicants than spaces and may continue accepting applications afterwards.

Consecutive BEd closes November 2, 2026 (transcripts November 9, supplemental documents November 16). Social Work professional years close February 1, 2027. RPN to BScN Blended Learning closes October 9, 2026 for Winter and March 12, 2027 for Fall.

Offer acceptance

June 1

Offers are accepted through OUAC by June 1. Accepting by that date is what qualifies students for guaranteed residence and entrance scholarships.

Entrance Award Application

March 1 to May 1

The common entrance-award application opens March 1 and closes May 1. Applicants need a seven-digit Nipissing student number and should not wait for an admission offer. Deadlines are not extended for any reason.

Residence benchmark for 2026 entry

These dates governed the 2026 high-school residence guarantee and are included as planning context. Equivalent Fall 2027 residence dates are not yet published.

International English minimums

For most undergraduate programs, examples include IELTS 6.5 with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 83 with section minimums, PTE 58, or CAEL 60. Nursing uses higher thresholds, including IELTS 7.0 with no band below 6.5. Duolingo is not listed as an accepted test.

College transfer baseline

College applicants normally need at least one completed year, and one year with a 70% average can earn 3 to 9 transfer credits. Nipissing assesses official transcripts course by course; career-college study is not used as a basis of admission or transfer credit.

College and university transfer baseline

College transfer applicants need a minimum of one completed year (or be on track to complete it); university transfer applicants need at least 18 credits. One year of accredited college study with at least a 70% overall average can earn 3 to 9 transfer credits, a two-year diploma up to 18, with credit assessed by the Admissions Office. Courses or programs completed at a career college are not eligible for transfer credit and are not used as a basis of admission.
