McMaster University application deadlines for Fall 2027

McMaster's public tool has a different answer for each program. We checked all Level I choices for Ontario, other Canadian and outside-Canada high school groups. Engineering, Computer Science, BTech and iBioMed close January 15. Health Sciences, iSci, Arts & Science, Integrated Business & Humanities, Wilson and Midwifery use that day too. Many other programs show April 1. If your friend has a different date, you may both be reading valid rows. Check the actual degree name before changing your plan.

April 1 is a final program date in McMaster's tool. It doesn't change an earlier award deadline or let you finish another program's form late. OUAC confirms January 15, 2027 for Group A applicants. It still processes later forms, but the school sets its program limits. Our direct fetch was blocked; a separate web source read succeeded on October 13. No application form was tested. The tool also has an above-Level-I menu. That's for routes beyond first-year entry. We checked both domestic and international status groups. Engineering and Computer Science transfer applications and documents are due April 1, 2027. The tool gives April 16 for the supplement. The faculty says April 15 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Those official dates conflict. Ask the faculty which one controls your file. A Grade 12 applicant can't use these later transfer dates for a first-year Engineering choice.

Other transfer rows have their own dates. Biomedical Discovery & Commercialization, or BDC, gives February 1, 2027 for the form, supplement and documents. Justice, Political Philosophy and Law, or JPPL, gives April 1 for the form and documents, then April 30 for its supplement. Social Work uses January 15 for the form and February 2 for its supplement. Its March 1 final-transcript sentence is yearless. Upper-level BHSc mixes a 2027 application with 2026, 2025 and 2024 next steps. Those new-cycle dates remain unconfirmed.

For Engineering, Computer Science, BTech and iBioMed, McMaster recommends applying through OUAC by November 12, 2026. The next early target is November 26 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time for the Kira form. Both steps matter if you're trying for earlier review. The faculty says early submission may let it assess your file sooner. It also says most decisions still arrive between March and May. You aren't promised an earlier offer just because you beat the recommended dates.

Kira invitations arrive seven to ten business days after you submit to a Faculty of Engineering program. The form opened October 1, 2026. If you apply to more than one program within the faculty, you only complete it once. That's useful for a calendar: one interview task can cover several faculty choices. It doesn't replace the main choices on OUAC. Keep the invite email, check spam and contact the faculty through its form if the invitation doesn't arrive after the stated wait.

The final Engineering-family Kira date is January 28, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Arts & Science has February 1 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Integrated Business & Humanities and Wilson also have February 1 in the central list. Midwifery's Identity and Admissions Survey is due February 1, along with its supporting documents in the tool. These tasks have different formats. A completed Kira interview doesn't finish Arts & Science or the Midwifery survey. Write the item name beside the date, not just 'McMaster supplement'.

iSci needs a direct question to the school. The public tool says February 1, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. ET. The central supplement page says February 2, 2027 at that time. The department still prints February 2, 2026 at noon. We keep all three statements with their cycles. Don't treat last year's noon as this year's cutoff. You can choose an earlier personal work target while waiting, but only iSci can resolve the official deadline. Recheck that conflict November 1.

Business has an optional supplement due April 30, 2027 in both current central sources. Its main application is due April 1. Optional doesn't mean that the supplement extends the degree application. The faculty uses it for added context when marks may fall below the expected range. Read the McMaster Commerce guide for the role of that form. McMaster bans outside people or AI on several specific items. The supplement guide explains the rules. An adviser can plan dates; you must produce your own restricted answers.

The Health Sciences application closes January 15, 2027. Its supplement window is early to mid-February 2027 on the central page and tool. No exact day is confirmed by the sources used here. The program sends instructions separately, so keep reading that email. Its FAQ says a missed submission deadline gets no extension. Technical problems should be raised with the helpdesk before the deadline. A broad February window isn't permission to wait until the last possible day or assume the portal remains open all month.

Nursing separates OUAC Group A and Group B. Current Ontario high school applicants have January 15, 2027. Other applicants have February 1. The Nursing calendar gives April 1 for high school documents and February 15 for those no longer at high school. Its 2027 cycle names September 22, 2026 as the first Casper date and March 18, 2027 as the last. Book the correct school and site in the official schedule. Don't copy a Casper date from Engineering at another university into McMaster Nursing.

The upper-level Nursing tool has another conflict. Its accelerated and non-Nursing/pre-health transfer rows say prerequisites must be completed or registered by February 15 in one field. Another field says February 1, 2027. Those application rows themselves give February 1. Ask Nursing which prerequisite-registration date applies to your transfer route. Don't treat a prerequisite note as permission to send all documents late. Keep its answer beside the exact route name, since accelerated study and regular four-year Nursing aren't the same entry path.

For most programs, Ontario high school grades come through OUAC. The tool asks other applicants to submit supporting documents, including English evidence where needed, by April 1, 2027. Submit fresh grades when they're available. Midwifery and Nursing have the earlier exceptions in the table. Your applicant portal still has a personal to-do list. Read the description for each item. The checklist says to upload a document once the requested information is available. You don't need to guess at a missing final mark.

A status label can lag behind your work. McMaster says supplement status may update three to four weeks after the deadline. If you received a submission confirmation, 'notified' can be normal. For documents, it says not to upload the same item again just because the checklist hasn't changed. A repeat upload can put you back in the processing queue. Save the confirmation and allow time for review. If a real error remains, explain the item and first submission date when contacting admissions.

McMaster's entrance award page confirms a November 1, 2026 opening for award and bursary applications. Both main application deadlines are February 19, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. ET. That can be well before you hear back about admission. Some entrance awards need no application; others use AwardSpring. Don't assume your grades automatically put you into every competition. Named awards can use another day. The Marjorie Anderson Financial Award has April 30, 2027 on the entrance page. General entrance award decisions are listed for the end of April to early May, with bursary and Access Award results in mid-May. Those are award results, not admission offers. Keep two status checks if you're waiting for both. Don't treat silence about a bursary as a refusal of your degree application. The award page says only selected applicants are notified, so read the process for the exact award you chose.

McMaster Housing confirms June 2, 2027 at 4 p.m. ET for the residence-guarantee application and payment. The $600 payment includes a $500 deposit toward residence and a $100 application fee. Both must be received by the cutoff. You need an admission offer to apply for residence, but you don't have to accept admission first. The page doesn't confirm an exact Fall 2027 residence opening day. Once you have your offer, read its housing status and use the official Housing Portal.

If you miss that June cutoff, you lose the guarantee and can apply to the wait list. Before the cutoff, the list uses admission average for those below the guarantee threshold. After the cutoff, new applications go on in receipt order. That change makes waiting costly even if the portal still accepts your form. Don't assume that an open housing form means a guaranteed bed. McMaster's checklist gives a usual decision window from mid-March to early May. Its acceptance page says all decisions finish by the end of May. Nursing's dated 2027 calendar instead gives April to June for Group B decisions. That's an official timing conflict. Don't assume a refusal just because May ends. The acceptance page gives June 2 for Ontario high school students and May 1 for others, or the offer's earlier date. Those reply sentences are yearless. We don't relabel them as confirmed Fall 2027 dates.

The wider Ontario offer guide uses June 1, 2027 for the general Ontario cycle. That's a difference you should resolve through your letter, not by waiting an extra day. Ask McMaster if the written offer and website disagree. For a missed program application, check whether that exact choice remains open before paying. There isn't a promised late extension in the checked tool. For BHSc, the FAQ expressly rules out late supplement extensions. A later Business deadline doesn't reopen Health Sciences.

First check your program in McMaster's tool. Then count back from the next task you can act on. October is a good time to check an Engineering invitation and prepare for the November 1 award opening. Keep the McMaster hub with your school plan.
