Dalhousie application deadlines for Fall 2027

Start with the degree name on your form. The September 2027 calendar puts Nursing, Health Sciences, Medical Sciences and Social Work in the February 15 group. Architecture's Environmental Design Studies degree has March 1. The June 15 Health Sciences date belongs only to the post-diploma route. It doesn't extend the earlier first-entry deadline. A Grade 12 student shouldn't use a later date from a degree that requires prior study. Compare entry routes in the Dalhousie university hub before setting your reminders.

For other undergraduate programs, Dalhousie allows consideration before September classes if places remain. That isn't a promise that every course choice will stay open until then. It also doesn't protect entrance awards or the residence guarantee. Those have their own earlier dates. For Computer Science or Engineering, use the Computer Science rules or Engineering rules to check the academic fit. Use this calendar for timing. An form can be on time and still lack a required course.

Apply through Dalhousie's own undergraduate form. An Ontario form to another university doesn't send this form. The school says Fall 2027 forms open October 1. The sentence doesn't print an opening year, so we preserve its wording. The award page separately confirms October 1, 2026 for its competition. Your school must send official transcripts. A file you upload yourself doesn't count as an official record. Send first-term or mid-year marks when they're ready. Send final marks later too. Ontario and Nova Scotia students can add their school ID details to let Dalhousie get their grades. Check that the right number is on file. If you've been to college or university, say so on the form. Arrange records from each school. We haven't found one shared dated Fall 2027 transcript cutoff here.

The 2027-28 General Entrance Award program runs from October 1, 2026 to February 15, 2027. You send its form after applying for admission. Being admitted early doesn't replace it. The school needs the required first-semester official results or an eligible provincial ID too. Self-reported marks alone don't complete the award file. If your school doesn't use semesters, the award steps accept the first half of the school year's results. Ask your school how those records will reach Dalhousie before the competition closes.

This award route mainly serves people coming straight from school. You can also apply with no post-secondary study that counts for transfer credit. Most transfers can't use this route. The named First Nations and Indigenous Black Student Scholarship has an exception. Read its rule for your own case. An offer of entry doesn't prove you meet an award's terms. You must accept an early entrance award by January 31, 2027. That is before the main award form closes. The award page says to pay the admission deposit to accept. You may later get a General Entrance Award too. In that case, you keep the higher award. You don't add both sums. Read the early offer before you choose when to pay. Waiting for the normal May reply date won't keep the early award open. The school lists March 2027 for award offers. It gives no exact day.

Nursing's main form closes February 15, 2027. Check the entry level as well. Entry from high school differs from entry after university courses. Dalhousie uses your past study to place you. You can't choose both levels as if they're the same. The school also limits places by where you live. Its FAQ says international students can't enter this program. Check that rule before you apply. Social Work treats your form and supporting records as a complete package. Its current department rule is February 15 at 11:59 p.m. Atlantic Time, even if the date falls on a weekend or holiday. That clock line is yearless; the central main-form date is explicitly 2027. Ask the department to confirm the complete-file cycle. It recommends sending the online form at least two weeks ahead so referees and transcripts have time. Your file isn't complete merely because you entered referee names. Check whether their references have reached the portal and whether the form fee is paid.

Dalhousie's extra-rules list includes Music and Theatre. It also names Health Sciences, Nursing and Social Work, along with exact diploma and professional routes. The list tells you where to find the extra tasks. It doesn't give every program the same submission day. We haven't confirmed exact Fall 2027 audition or Theatre-material dates in this source set. Contact the named program before booking a session or treating the main form as complete. Architecture's BEDS date also belongs to a route after prior study. A program appearing on this list doesn't make it a direct Grade 12 choice.

Dalhousie's dated calendar says to accept admission by paying the deposit by May 1, 2027, unless your letter gives a different date. It also lists May 1 for accepting General Entrance Awards. Read the actual offer when it arrives. Don't substitute a friend's payment deadline or assume the residence fee accepts admission. The amount of the Fall 2027 admission deposit isn't confirmed in this source set. Keep the acceptance receipt with the letter so you can check both the date and the action you completed.

English-language proof is also listed for May 1, 2027 centrally. The form steps say a conditional English offer gives its own deadline. That's a scope difference to resolve with Admissions if your letter differs. A conditional offer can still require later evidence; paying doesn't remove its conditions. For other school records, follow the checklist and the final conditions in the offer. The June 2027 first-year registration entry gives a month, not an exact opening day. Wait for your registration steps before planning an exact appointment.

The dated 2027 calendar gives May 15 for the first-year room guarantee. Housing says this covers new students who come straight from high school. Both domestic and international students can qualify. You need a complete housing form and full-time student status. It doesn't promise your first room choice. Read the Dalhousie residence guide before you rank rooms. If you need a room adapted for a health need, flag that on the form. Send the records Housing asks for. We haven't checked a shared new-cycle due date for those records.

The separate housing calendar still carries a 2026/27 heading. Its May 1 guarantee row is for 2026. Don't turn it into a May 2027 date. It calls October 1, 2026 a tentative opening for 2027/28 housing and gives December 2, 2026 as an initial returning-resident deadline. Neither changes the new high school guarantee. Room acceptance and payment follow your own room offer. Current pages list a $50 form fee and $500 confirmation deposit; those aren't explicitly dated 2027-28 prices. Under-19 applicants also need the stated parent or guardian signature. Confirm terms before paying.

Write your degree and entry route on the calendar. If you want awards, ask your school to send the first-term marks. Don't wait for an offer to start that task. Transfers also need time for credit review. Dalhousie urges early forms so you can plan for March course sign-up. Keep November 1, 2026 as a date to check the gaps again.
