USask Libraries: Murray Library Hours and Study Spaces

The Murray Library is USask's main library, and there are branches for Engineering, Science, Health Sciences, Law, and Education and Music. In fall 2026, the Murray Library building is open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays, and students can keep studying on its ground floor until midnight. Current students can book study rooms in any library. Writing help and math and stats drop-in help are in the Murray Library.

  • Use headphones for music, videos and online classes anywhere in the library.
  • The library also has a low-sensory study room.

Booking a study room

  • Current USask students can book study rooms in any library location.
  • Most rooms have screens. Borrow Mac adaptors and whiteboard markers at the nearest library services desk.
  • Rooms aren't soundproof, so keep the volume down.
  • Any student can book the presentation practice room in the Health Sciences Library to rehearse for class, conferences or interviews.

Writing, math and research help

In the Murray Library, Writing Help runs 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and Math and Stats Help drop-in runs 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the same days, with shorter weekend hours. Research Help and an IT Support Desk are also in the building.
