Laurentian Course Registration: Planning, Waitlists, Dates
First-year Laurentian University students activate their student account, then plan and register for courses in Self-Service on the myLaurentian site. Planning a course doesn't register you: you must click Register. Fall 2026 classes started September 9, and the last day to register or change fall and fall-winter courses was September 22. For winter 2027 it's January 15.

Activate your account
Go to my.laurentian.ca/start with the student number from your admission letter. Once you finish the onboarding survey, you get your Laurentian email, where all university messages go.
Plan your courses
- Log in to Self-Service and open Student Planning.
- Start at View My Progress to see your degree requirements, grouped into outcomes.
- Use each outcome's Search button so you only see courses that count toward it. Tick Open sections only.
- Click Add section to schedule for the section you want. Labs end in L and are found in the catalogue, right after the course.
Register
- Open Plan and Schedule, pick the term and click Register for a course or Register Now for the whole term.
- Your first time, you may need to answer a few questions and give your SIN.
- Online courses have no time slot and sit at the bottom of the calendar. Courses with codes ending in 10 or 12 are delivered in D2L.
- A waitlist is being piloted for some high-demand courses. If a seat opens, you're registered automatically and emailed.
