Brock Walker Sports Complex: Recreation, Pool and Badgers Venues

Brock's main recreation building is the Walker Sports Complex at the west end of the St. Catharines campus. It has a 50-metre pool, three gyms, an indoor track, the Zone fitness centre and a rowing tank. If you're a registered Brock student, you can use most of it at no extra charge by showing your student card at the Central Equipment Room. Hours and prices below were checked on September 30, 2026.

What's inside the Walker Sports Complex

Brock Recreation lists these spaces in the Walker Sports Complex. Brock Sports adds the names of the varsity venues inside it.

What students get, and how to get in

Registered undergraduate and graduate students can use the track, the Zone, gyms, studios, pool, shower rooms and outdoor tennis courts at no extra charge. Classes on the ExpressFit schedule, including fitness, aqua-fitness and spin classes, are included too. The Rowing Centre isn't included, and Brock says the squash courts aren't currently available.

Access isn't really free. You pay for it through ancillary fees. Brock's 2026 per-credit ancillary fee is $116.89, subject to change, and its athletics, recreation, pool and Zone expansion lines add up to $47.34 per credit.

If you aren't taking a spring or summer course, you'll need to buy a membership for May to August. A Brock student All Access membership then costs $35 a month, including tax.

  • Show your student card at the Central Equipment Room. You'll get a wristband for each visit.
  • Bring your own lock for the day lockers, or buy or rent one at the Equipment Room, and remove it after your workout.
  • Members can borrow sports equipment with their wristband. Some items are also for rent or sale.

Fall 2026 hours

These are Brock Recreation's posted hours for the fall term, September 8 to December 8, 2026. Activity areas close 10 minutes before the building does. No wristbands or pool admission are issued in the last half hour.
