Brock Campus Guide: St. Catharines, Burlington and the U-Pass

Brock's main campus is at 1812 Sir Isaac Brock Way in St. Catharines, in the Niagara Region. The Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts is in downtown St. Catharines. Brock no longer has a Hamilton campus: it moved to Burlington, and since September 2025 the Brock University Burlington Campus has been in the Robert Bateman Community Centre. If you take 1.5 or more credits in St. Catharines, your fees include a U-Pass for Niagara transit. Details were checked on September 30, 2026.

The St. Catharines main campus

Almost every Brock undergraduate studies here. The residences, the James A. Gibson Library in Schmon Tower and the Walker Sports Complex are all on the main campus. Brock has more than 19,000 students in seven Faculties.

Buses stop in front of Schmon Tower. Brock describes the campus as the hub for bus travel on the Niagara Peninsula, with local routes and longer trips toward Burlington, Hamilton, Mississauga and Toronto.

Burlington Campus, and what happened to Hamilton

Brock used to run a Hamilton Campus. It operated in Hamilton until the end of the 2022-23 year, then sold that site. For 2023-24 it ran temporarily from the former Lester B. Pearson High School site, under an agreement with the Halton District School Board, while the permanent space was prepared.

The Burlington Campus opened in the Robert Bateman Community Centre for students in September 2025. It's a hub for Teacher Education and Applied Disability Studies, with science labs, bookable study rooms, quiet and meditation rooms and a fitness space. Brock Library has its own area next to the Burlington Public Library's New Appleby branch.

Your U-Pass and getting around Niagara

BUSU provides a U-Pass to St. Catharines students registered in at least 1.5 credits. The 2026-27 fee is $364.94 for the eight-month fall and winter pass, charged as an ancillary fee. It came from a student referendum, so you can't opt out. There's no U-Pass from May 1 to August 31.

BUSU says the pass covers Niagara Region transit, including St. Catharines, Thorold, Niagara Falls, Welland, Fort Erie and Port Colborne.

  • Collect your U-Pass sticker with your Brock Card at the BUSU Front Desk on the 3rd floor of the Student-Alumni Centre, weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • From September 1 you can ride with just your Brock Card, but you must have the sticker on it by the end of September.
  • Plan routes on Niagara Region Transit's website, or call 1-833-NRT-LINE.
  • Burlington Campus students are opted out. Full-time students there can add a Burlington Transit U-Pass for $30 a month on a PRESTO card ($4), bought at the Burlington GO Station customer service desk.
