Sheridan has residences at Trafalgar in Oakville and Davis in Brampton. You can apply before Sheridan accepts you, and each application costs a $100 non-refundable fee.

Which residence you apply to

Apply to the residence at your campus. Trafalgar students apply to Trafalgar Residence, which has two buildings with 824 beds in total. Davis and Hazel McCallion (HMC) students apply to Davis Residence, which has 386 beds. HMC has no residence of its own.

Sheridan's residences are run with its manager, Campus Living Centres, under a Student Housing Agreement. Each building has controlled-access entry and staff on site 24 hours a day.

Two-bedroom suites and Davis quads

Every residence offers furnished, air-conditioned, smoke-free two-bedroom suites. Two students each get a private bedroom of about 16 by 9.5 feet and share a kitchenette and a three-piece washroom. Each bedroom has a double bed, a desk and chair, a two-drawer dresser, closet storage and high-speed internet.

Davis also offers a limited number of quad-style suites. It's the same two-bedroom layout, but each bedroom holds a bunk bed, so four students share the suite. Quads have less storage, aren't accessible and don't allow overnight guests. Sheridan gives quad preference to Davis and HMC students.

Shared spaces include common kitchens, laundry rooms, study lounges, games and movie lounges, fitness rooms and outdoor barbecue areas. Wi-Fi and utilities are included in the fee.

2026-27 residence fees

These are Sheridan's posted fees for the 2026-27 academic year (September to April). Paying in instalments adds a $125 or $200 administration fee. Sheridan says fees can change without notice. The Davis rate notes also say 2026-27 rates had not yet been approved by Sheridan's Board of Governors, so confirm your amount in your acceptance email.

Residence fees are separate from tuition, go to a separate account and can't be deferred for OSAP. Rates for 2027-28 weren't posted when we checked on September 30, 2026.

How to apply

You apply online through the StarRez Residence Portal for your campus, and you choose the term after you log in. Each application needs the $100 non-refundable fee. You don't need to wait for your program offer, but you must be a full-time Sheridan student to live in residence during the academic year.

When we checked on September 30, 2026, Trafalgar was full for 2026-27 and running a waitlist. Davis was still accepting 2026-27 applications, which stay open until December 1, 2026. Winter 2027 (January to April) applications open October 1, 2026.

Winter applicants all go on a waitlist and are accepted first come, first served. Sheridan says Winter offers start in mid-November and continue through the break, because many rooms only free up after Fall results come out. Sheridan lists only a single payment for Winter, with no payment plan.

How the Fall cycle works

For a September start, applications open online on February 1. First-year students who pay the application fee and finish the application by March 31 get priority, but a place isn't guaranteed. Priority also requires on-time residence payment under option 1, 2 or 3, a completed portal profile and full-time enrolment, with any study permit, by August 1.

Returning students and first-year students who apply from April 1 to May 1 go into a lottery for waitlist places. Sheridan emails everyone who applied by May 1 with an offer or a waitlist position by May 31. After May 1, new applicants join the waitlist first come, first served. Your first payment must reach residence by June 15, or Sheridan can withdraw your offer.

Key 2026-27 dates

Residence closes over the winter break. Sheridan's agreement says you can stay in your room or an assigned room if you notify the manager in writing, and its dates page sets an extension request deadline of December 1. No food, cleaning or mail service runs during the break. Sheridan says these dates can change.

Cancelling your room

The 2026-27 Student Housing Agreement charges a percentage of the total housing fee when you cancel, plus a prorated charge for any nights you stayed. Refunds come by cheque within ten weeks of moving out. Cancel through the housing portal.

Sheridan's apply page gives a different rule. It says students accepted for the academic year who aren't admitted to Sheridan, or who choose to live off campus, can cancel by June 15 for a full refund. The agreement's charge schedule starts at 5%. Ask residence which rule applies to you before you cancel.

Sheridan asks international students without a study permit by August 1 to cancel by that date. Holding a room past August 1 when you can't arrive brings the full cancellation charges.

Food and meal plans

Sheridan residence has no mandatory meal plan. Every suite has a kitchenette with a fridge and microwave, and each building has larger shared kitchens. Sheridan's meal plan is optional, and you add meal or flex dollars through your OneCard with the college, not through residence.

Your OneCard can pay at food outlets on and off campus, in campus stores and in residence laundry rooms. Sheridan Dining lists outlets such as Marketplace, Chef's Corner, Tim Hortons and Pizza Pizza at both Trafalgar and Davis. Most were closed on weekends in the week we checked, so plan weekend meals yourself.
