Mohawk College Library: Cummings, Collaboratory, IAHS and Stoney Creek
Mohawk has a library at each of its three main campuses, plus the Collaboratory at Fennell. The Collaboratory keeps the longest hours.

What each space offers
Every location offers in-person research help. Beyond that, they differ.

Booking a study space
Current Mohawk students book library spaces online through the library's reservation site. Every space type allows half an hour to 2 hours a day, booked up to two weeks ahead. Arrive within 15 minutes or the booking may be cancelled.

Computers and software
Library computers run Microsoft 365, and other software is available through MohawkAPPS. Respondus LockDown Browser for MyCanvas exams is installed on every library computer. The computers don't have webcams, but you can borrow one for the day at any customer service desk.
The library's own pages disagree on computer counts. The computers page lists 36 at Cummings, 33 in the Collaboratory, 18 at IAHS and 21 at Stoney Creek. The IAHS branch page says 13, and the Stoney Creek branch page says 26.
- Accessible software on student PCs at every library: JAWS, Read&Write, ZoomIt and Kurzweil. For Kurzweil, get login details from Accessible Learning Services.
- Computers are for academic use. Staff may log you out if you leave a computer for 20 minutes, and nobody can save a computer for you.
Borrowing and renewing
Borrow with your ONE Card at any library desk. Continuing Education and part-time students get the same borrowing privileges as full-time students. Return items to any desk, or use the drop chute outside Cummings after hours.

- Renew online: log in to your library account, open My Loans and choose Renew.
- Damaged items are charged at replacement cost plus a processing fee, and borrowing is suspended.
Printing, copying and scanning
You pay for printing with money on your ONE Card. Log in to a college computer with your 9-digit MohawkID and send the job to the print-anywhere queue. From your own laptop or phone, use Web Print, which only works on the Mohawk Wi-Fi network. Tap your ONE Card at any printer to release the job.

- Add money online, at the Fennell Campus Store (the printing page says it's temporarily in C066 during renovations), at the Fennell ONE Card office in i130, or at the Stoney Creek Campus Store in A124. At IAHS, you can only add money online.
- Library printers are in Cummings (H101), the Collaboratory (H201) and Stoney Creek (A122). At IAHS, the printing page lists Student Services room 86, while the ONE Card page puts Student Services in room 186.
Free tutoring and research help
The Learning Support Centre, in room C122 at Fennell, offers free tutoring from upper-year students. Course peer tutoring covers most first-year program courses. There's also math support, writing and communication tutoring, study skills help and group PASS sessions for selected courses. Its booking notes say "Book 3 hours per week" and "Book up to 24 hours in advance".
For research help, chat with library staff online, book a research appointment or text the library. There's also Library@MyCanvas, an open MyCanvas course on research, library resources and citing with Turnitin.
